Rub it in! I love BBQ. As I predicted, I did not have to fly, but had to be able to get to the airport lickety split if I got the call. I did take the little plane out and scoped out Ken’s from above though. Easy to pick out of the woods with the umbrellas and tents.

Heat and humidity returning here, forecast for 97F all week, no rain in 10 day. Bike rid to start the day, lunch and nap finished off the day.

We got our final stonescaping done before the rain hit. We had Taco Bell imitation Mexican food for dinner.
My FIL is waiting for the home health nurse to fix his Foley catheter, it gets clogged way too often. Not sure what the answer is.

67F and mostly cloudy, had a brief shower roll through earlier in the evening ... probably enough to settle the dust ... at least for a little bit.

Finished backside gutter clean out and more debris clean up on the ground. Also started on removing the aborted attempt on the rock retaining wall on the north side of the barn. Will go with block retaining wall instead.

Woman said she was getting hungry after that, so we broke for lunch and she ran to Jimmy John's to pick us up a sandwich to share.

I noticed she had drifted off to sleep on the couch after she finished eating so I snuck back to the bedroom myself ... where I was joined in very short order by the large orange cat for little cat nap ...

Woke up around 18:45 and made a hurried effort to get outside and finish the mowing but before I could get my shoes on it was raining, so that's on hold until tomorrow.

Woman requested my popcorn so I made her a batch.

After that placed order for the gutter covers.

Tomorrow we start with the clean up on the front side of the pole barn. There are a number of saplings that are close up to the building that need removed and a depression from a partially filled-in trench (water, gas, and low-voltage electric) that needs cleaned out and filled in before we can even start on the gutters. Also need to move a small pile of gravel at the southwest corner of the building so I can get the ladder up next to it.

There are also about a dozen smaller black locust saplings (6' to 12') that have come up along the edge of the driveway that I'd like to eventually replant out in the yard since they are fast growing and it's great wood.

Woman wants the string trimmer head put back on the FS 66, plans to go nuts on the weeds on the northeast corner of the barn that wasn't able to get to, to spray. Sure yeah, you betcha ! ...
