Shrimp curry turned out excellent, maybe one of Sophie’s best.

Guys won at H&F, but not a runaway. Now lead 11-7. Keg of Porter ran out about half a mug into 1st pour. Will have to replace this weekend.

All in all, another blessed day.

Got my second Pfizer vac today So far not even a sore arm. I was told it was much worse than the 1st shot. Time will tell I guess. I asked for it in the other shoulder this time as my left shoulder is playing up. Had to go through a Police check to get into the city as we came from a lockdown area. Didn't have any problems at all.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 60° with some clouds this morning. Heading to 83° with mostly cloudy skies. Got wiring hooked up on friends car yesterday. I was surprised to find that while most of the lights on car are LED. Yellow directional bulb was still incandescent. Grocery shopping this morning. Conserve energy rest of the day.
Somebody's watching me.

Coming home from dinner tonight, a young deer jumped the guardrail, crossed the lane and hit the saddlebag of my Triumph. Never went down, but bike felt like it lurched 2 feet sideways. The only damage was the LH saddlebag is toast. The deer had a broken neck.

The adrenaline was pumping, was trying to clear the road and 2 young guys in a Mustang convertible thought it was cute to give me the finger and tell me I was a moron for being in the road removing a dead deer and saddlebag.

A. It is good I don’t carry, because the adrenaline was pumping,

B. I couldn‘t find anything close at hand to throw at them.

Shame they didn’t stop…..

During my motorcycling days, I saw lots of hazards on the roads, but never a deer. I only hit one deer driving a pickup truck, and pulling a trailer one night.

Don, thanks for the extra info. I saw Moderna said that after 6 months of people being vaxed, it showed 93% effectiveness...they will provide a booster shot for fall/winter. Looks like the trend can be just to combine a C-virus booster in the the annual flu shot.

Another garden photo...okra bloom with bumblebee. I know honey bees are supposed to be in decline, but I've seen more of them this year than ever. May just be the vast amount of clover that's been blooming brought them here. Should get rain tomorrow, so that will be good.

nice looking okra Wingsprd. When I grew red and orange okra in NC the locals had never seen it, just used to the green stuff.
Those red plants were some of the prettiest plants I've ever had, look at the color of the stalks. That yellow flower is very pretty too.

Rich, good news you are ok, sorry bike got damaged but sure better than your leg.
They say we have 179 deer per square mile here now, 7 times more than area can support.
Makes driving at night a very nervous proposition.
I think we should have a venison burger holiday...

Burpee seeds for Fall should come in today, decided on more beets because everyone, including me, liked them, and this time
I'm planting some radishes.

It's tomato time, coming out my proverbial ears.

My first shot I had mild symptoms for 2-3 days, second shot, zero.
I got Moderna.

We also had more honeybees than I’ve seen in 25-20 years. We did have a lot of clover too.

Should be 15-20 years.
