Who is "They"?
Yesterday I posted a link to the "new" CDC info. With Delta, virus loads in the upper respiratory tract are much higher than previous varieties of CV19. Even in those that were infected once already, and also in those that have been vaccinated and then become infected. That's part of what makes Delta more transmittable, as those infected with it put a lot more virus particles into the air when they breathe out.

Is this what you are referring to?

Well, after the family had to rush home for lockdown, I thought, there goes my help. I have a lot to do on the Ranger so decided to get stuck into it. I knew I would regret it.
I wanted the fibreglass tonneau fitted asap. It has been sitting there for 2 weeks and I was frightened it would suffer some damage.
So, at about 9.00 when it had warmed up I took the plunge and removed the sports bar and started prepping for fitment. It was a huge job for this old drake. I got Lesley to help lift it on at the end and screwed the final screws about 4.00.p.m. It is a 3 x part tonneau so everything had to be aligned carefully. Today I will fit the rear catches and remote control but the hard bit is done. I hadn't stopped for lunch and I was so tired I couldn't even have dinner so I went to bed at 5.30 p.m.
I just woke at 4.00 a.m. so having a cuppa as I write. I feel pretty good now actually considering I could barely even walk after I finished the job.
I think all this pain and suffering has actually been good for my back as I seem to be able to manage to do more now. Maybe I have been taking it too easy for too long? Time will tell.
I'll do a photo later in the day.

Mostly cloudy and 73F (and falling) @ 14:30. Some showers currently along a frontal line to the north and south ... possible we could see some rain from it but I doubt it, as we appear to be in the "gap".

The Timberlink station isn't showing any rain since midnight and chances of precipitation - currently at 17% - are decreasing with every hour that goes by. Ten Day shows the next likely chance of precipitation will be Tuesday after next ... otherwise less than a 25% chance.

Numerous items on agenda for today ... 😊

Why should those that have already been vaccinated have to go back to wearing masks to protect those that have chosen not to protect themselves?

I'm glad you asked that.

It isn't just about protecting those who have chosen not to protect themselves - although that would certainly be an admirable goal.

The virus is mutating and evolving ... and likely will continue to do so.

Every person who acquires (or reacquires) the virus serves as an incubator for further mutations, some of which could possibly be worse than what we are dealing with now.

Better to reduce the opportunities for those mutations to occur and spread ... rather than finding out later that we wished we would have when something worse ends up coming down the pike.

It's certain an inconvenience - especially for those in hotter parts of the country - but it may well pale in comparison to what could evolve if we don't.

mostly gas said, "Bird hard to sleep here w/o A/C, to me getting stuck in rush hour traffic with no A/C was as bad."

Yep, I drove my own cars without A/C for quite a few years in Dallas traffic, and for my first 4 years on the police department our squad cars had no A/C.

Rain started about 90 minutes back...nice steady rain...what we need (although southern Vermonters would not agree since there were a lot of roads washed out Thursday night in to Friday)
Some weed trimming done, but...now I'm done for the day...

I'm going to get the covid vaccine (against my better judgement), but the failure of the vaccines isn't surprising

The Unvaxxed…

I don’t think our rules have changed lately. Mask required inside. I wear mine to protect ME. If an unvaxxed doesn’t care about himself why should I. But I surely feel badly for those who legitately don’t have a choice.
