TxDon, hope your niece and her baby get over it soon. Prayers. Is niece having any symptoms?

Wild cherries are starting to fill out. This relatively wet spring and summer has been good for many different hedgerow trees, birds will be in for a treat come late summer and autumn.

Still looks like the Teletubby hill IMO. Pretty as a postcard.

Did any of you ever have a "disco" outfit? I had some of those platform soled shoes in 7th or 8th grade. Gave me about a 2" rise back in '72 or '73. I wanna say I had some loud plaid pants later on. LOL. The amusement park in Houston, called Astroworld, put in a world class discotek called Boogie Fog IIRC. Man the sound system was awesome, as were the lights...even had the lights in the floor. I will admit that I did see K. C. and the Sunshine band once, but only because there was an extremely beautiful girl that just had to go see them. It was either me or some other guy. Mea Culpa. Still have my old Brothers' Johnson vinyl record. It sounded good back in the day on my McIntosh MC2205/JBL L200 sound system...
(I still haven't re-capped the old Mc)....

83, feels like 90. I want to do a small job in the garage but it will depend on how well it cools off.
I drove down to Pokomoke City yesterday and helped a friend and retired Snap On dealer, repair the seat in his ‘36 Chevy pickup street rod. Drivers seat wouldn’t lock into place, turns out the release spring was missing. Got a set of accelerator springs from Advance Auto Parts that had just what we needed. Much more trouble to r&r the seat than to fix it. At least we had a lot of nice tools to work with. He built this truck sixty years ago.
Father in law had to go to the ER this morning, turns out he has strep throat. Not good for an 85 year old.

Good luck to all you guys with projects. I’m amazed at the collection of talent here.

Have a good day.
Prayers for FIL.

RNG, prayers for rain out there. That's an amazing webcam site.

RS, nice score on the router. Now all you need is a DIY CNC table to hook it to. :)

Billy, glad you're getting your walks in. You make me look bad. I might walk that much in a day.

Drew, schnazzy! Power steering to boot! Hope you enjoy it.

This is the first year I haven't had a garden in many years. I did put out some tomato plants, but it was already muddy and I couldn't build them up on a mound....and then it really started raining. So they drowned just like when hurricane Harvey came through.

I have used sevin in the past, but haven't had to do much the last few years other than keep the chickens out. I would get some tomato worms, some assassin bugs, and a few other pests. The grasshoppers would munch where another critter had broken the tomato's skin. I would use sevin if things ever got so bad again, but I've done organic for the last 5 years or longer. Sevin has a very short life.

Hope LN4 is doing alright, prayers for his DIL. Prayers also for Buppies, Ron, Randy, Drew, Step's son and family, those in silent need, and our country.

We are headed up to a suburb of Fort Worth tomorrow. Going to take Crumpelt Steelskin (aka golf ball aerodynamic experiment Malibu). Sister lives near a park and ride train depot. Might ride the trains for fun.

Wifey is busy packing. We take the whole farm, for just 2 1/2 day trip.

She made homemade chicken pot pie....rolled out her own dough for crust. Yummy. I'm stuffed. Marie Calendar ain't got nothing on her.

Another 3.6 hours mowing and I’m happy to report my field mowing is now caught up (for now). Also think it is best it has ever looked. And the mismatched belts are still good. Got an email from the vendor offering replacement or refund. Didn’t expect that. Told them replacement would be good. That’s better for them too, I think.

Probably should doing something else, but gonna put a pizza in oven and take rest of day for energy conservation.

Nice looking mower Drew.

over an hour late the mower showed up, and boy that guy liked to chat, likely why he was running late.
Supposed to thunderstorm after dinner so will save breaking it in until tomorrow. Digital fuel gauge is new, controls are
updated but all the same functions I'm used to. I put a smart charger on the battery, filled the gas tank and it's sitting being queen
of the garage. Seat, which did not have the armrest kit I ordered, is much more comfortable than older models, more cushiness to it with decorative
stitching.

Only one feature this mower doesn't have and I wish it did, which is limited slip on rear axle. We'll see if can keep it out of the ditch...

Hot and sticky out, sweated a bunch, drank a gatorade type drink.

Well that’s better green shiny than kale salad.
Congrats. Nice Kawasaki FR engine. My zt has the FS.

I guess the kevlar weren't tight enough and would slip? I've had a brand new serpentine belt slip before. My guess was it was old stock and the rubber just wouldn't grip. Hope you got that fresh beer cold, it's time for a couple. :)

We got good news on my 11 yo son. (not sure if I mentioned it already). We got his bench test grades that compare him to the other students in his school, our district, and the whole state. He scored perfect 100% in science. 96% in reading. He got 32 out of 36 questions right in math, but that only netted him an 82% compared to other kids. I looked up his math questions, and he missed 4 easy ones while he got all the tough questions right. I've warned him about "trick" questions. On one, it just a decimal point error, but it fooled him....He was the highest scoring overall in his whole school. When he was a toddler and we'd take him for his scheduled checkups, his body size would be around 20 % percentile (meaning 80% of the other kids were bigger than him) but his head circumference was always 99%. I guess they didn't want to peg his head size at 100% and "give him the big head". He says he does good on the tests "To beat his older sister's scores." LOL. Competition drives the beast.

73F and "Fair" @ 22:30, heading down to an overnight low of 68F.

Just ran up to the shop to make sure it was locked up (it was) and grab the mothballs for The Woman (to keep Alvin and Co. out of her flower pots ...)

Took curl cylinder off earlier and took it up to the shop.

Woman said she didn't want to mow, would prefer to pull weeds.

She got on a wild tear and went to town on the northwest planting bed, got about half of it weeded:

IMG_1213 copy.jpg

She said with all the rain (and probably the loose soil) the weeds came up real easy. I hauled her dump cart load of weeds up to the compost pile and threw them on when I went to mow up there.

The good news is, it looks like pretty much everything is there - and the four (?) rhododendrons planted there are all still alive. Wasn't sure about a couple of the rhodies - they were so small ya couldn't see them for all the weeds.

Hopefully we can get it finished tomorrow ... but they are calling for a high of 88F so that may not happen. We'll see.

Once we finish it up, it will get treated with Preen and get covered with mulch.

While she was weeding I mowed the upper and lower fronts, all around the house, and the compost/wood lot with the Cub.

Cub is at 100.5 hours and is due for next oil and filter change.

Doe and her two white spot fawns came running down the driveway while I was doing the upper front, headed over to the neighbors place.

Noticed while I was mowing the compost/wood lot the stuff I sprayed up there is starting to die back.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

67 and clear, going to 92. Had a big storm at dinnertime yesterday.

Kyle, great news about your son. I remember those tests,...they were a big deal. Tell your wife she made one guy drool over her...that is, her chicken pot pie. 😁 🥧 No disco clothes for me. Have a good trip.

Ken, I haven't seen lantern bugs here, thank goodness...but first time I saw them was in Harper's Ferry a few years back and I didn't know what they were.

Can't believe I waited this long to get a battery grease gun...used it yesterday for a couple of hours and what a difference it made. I did overdo the reaching/crawling underneath/moving things and am a bit sore in my surgery area...so wife is saying "I told you so." She's good, she only says it once or twice, then moves on.♥️

74-93 today.
I need to mow lots of grass to get ready for wife’s yard sale.
My replacement awning is supposed to be delivered today. I asked for a window of time so I could line up help, it weighs 161 lbs. They told me he would be here between 10-6 and would call 15 minutes before arrival.
How in the heck are supposed to line up help like that. I guess I could ask them to help and by the way do you mind staying all day? And they just called yesterday to tell me, after sending a message the day before that it would be in the next two weeks. Oh well.

Kyle, that’s great about your son. I hope he can make that work in his favor. My son is 45 now, he had a similar situation. He ended up winning a Presidential scholarship for a full ride, tuition, books, meals, etc… plus a $5000 yearly stipend. So make sure he takes advantage of this.

I wasn’t a disco fan but I did have some plaid double knit bell bottoms.
