Hey Guys, just had my local dealer quote me a cabin air filter since mine looks rough. Was almost $135 w/ tax. They were very surprised, as was I. That a normal price for that? Seems...steep. :(

About right comparing a Kubota cabin filter to yours (dealer pricing). I wash mine out (carefully) a few times before replacing.

I don't know how a tractor cabin air filter compares to the automotive type but the local Dodge dealer will replace mine for "only" $60. I can get the same thing at Auto Zone for about $15 and showed my daughter how to change it. This is a paper element filter. You could try getting the dimensions of your filter and heading to Auto Zone or similar and see what fits.

Probably nothing automotive will interchange, mostly because of the shape of the cabin air filter. Automotive cabin filters are usually rectangular and tin. Tractor cabin filters are usually much thicker and off shaped but worth a try anyway. Nothing ventured, nothing gained but I believe it will be a strike out.

Good to know its not out of line in the tractor world. It just seemed rough. I have bought others over the years Cat, Komatsu, etc. My Kubota (L4630) was about $60 last year when I bought one. I was pleasantly surprised, not when the exterior door handle broke exactly like my Kubota (threaded insert pulled out), but when the part was only about $25 versus $80 something when I bought the Kubota one. I'll put that towards a cabin filter haha

Its not dissimilar in shape/size to many automotive cabin air filters (I am a mechanic by trade) but the way it seals seems rather proprietary. Won't stop my looking though!

Denso got back with me and said the number I had from the filter was not a good Denso number.

Hard to find on the web, but is this one it?

If so, then these are replacements apparently:

Filter 1A703087990 <-- cross reference

If not, then I'll keep looking..

I have spent over 4 hours looking and the cheapest
price I seen not ebay is $127.95
If it was me I would get to wally world and buy a air
filter that is big enough to replace the paper in your
filter. If you can't wash your filter then cut the filter out
and glue a new piece in from the one from wally world.
That's what I would do as I will not pay $100+ for a air
filter. I only use the inside air on my cab.

I was going to replace the 4 cabin makeup air filters on my rig, till I looked up the price. No way. I simply pulled them out and used air to clean them. They came out very clean.

My Yanmar book says to wash the filter with mild dish
soap. Still I would do what I said before it filter is really
bad.

Thanks! I'll pull my filter and see if I can get a good visual comparison. If it looks good I will order one and report back.

That's for the interior filter screen. The exterior filter my books say specifically not to rinse it with water. It seems paper-based.

I put in the

SC80067 HIFI Cabin Air Filter, it works but is not a perfect fit...but for the price, it will do. Wonder how the Baldwin works, looks like a better match then the HIFI

Because it don't have a perfect fit you can go to wally world
and get some of the door seal tape to make a nice seal to
keep out the dust!

Thanks, I ordered the Baldwin just to see if that was a better replacement...it looks identical to the OEM that came out. I'll report back how it works when it comes it.
