I just found a bald faced hornets nest right in the ground by my outside faucet. 2 of the buggers kept buzzing me, moved so fast they seemed to disappear and reappear a few feet away.
Seems they always have 2 guards on the nest.
After reading how they never nest in the ground, went back to look today and see a few going in/out right where I thought they were, in the ground.
I have seen/removed plenty of yellow jackets, these are bigger and a lot faster. Should be interesting to see how the wasp spray works. Have to go pick some up after we used up the last bit on 2 that had got in the house.
So far no stings, but where they are will certainly not work out well
