Kioti CK3510
I took delivery of my new CK3510 yesterday afternoon. It was pouring rain so it came off the delivery trailer and went directly in the garage. Came out this morning and this is what I find on the floor. A pool of oil. Looks like hydraulic oil. I opened the hood and the back of the engine looks as if the engine is cover in oil spray. Needless to say I am pissed. Dealer is closed today. I was so looking forward to my new tractor, now I think this tractor is a joke!

Probably just a fitting that didn't get tighten properly. No big deal considering how many fittings a tractor has.

Just try to locate exactly where it's coming from and see if you can fix it, otherwise just wait till the dealer can have a look at it.

Understandable that something may be left loose, but quality control is something to be desired when a tractor that only has .7 of a hour on it is leaking oil. It looks like its hydraulic oil leaking from the smaller line on the pump. It has a slight red colour to it as it drips off the line. It may be coming from back the line further. It does have a backhoe so maybe that connects in there somewhere and is running up the line. Everything is tight around the pump. The spray on all the engine looks to be preservative oil because it is all over the tractor. I’ve cleaned the floor up and now have a clean pan under it. I ran the tractor for a few minutes and then shut it down. I’ll see if I can track it better now that it’s cleaned up. I hope maybe they just overfilled it when they installed the valves for the backhoe.

"now I think this tractor is a joke!"

Isnt uncommon to see a hickup or two on a new tractor. leaks can show up after putting some time on them and everything is moving around and settling in. Cant blame the tractor or dealer. If a little leak isnt for you maybe you need some other kind of equipment instead.

Exactly. I understand it can be frustrating but these things happen. And if the OP searches a little bit on TBN, he will find loads of threads about issues like this on pretty much any brand.

Things like loaders and backhoes are usually assembled at the dealer.

Yes maybe I’ll just get rid of it. Lol! If I pay $40,000 for something new, I expect it to be in pristine condition when it’s delivered, weather the dealer put the loader and backhoe on or not. I’m a electrician by trade. If I installed equipment and someone got a shock off that equipment, it’s not a hiccup. It’s someone not doing their job.

Sorry to hear of your issue so soon, it is maddening to say the least, all you can do is call the dealer monday morning and explain the issue, if dealer is good he will be right on it. You should be getting a Kioti dealer survey with in a week or so, you may want to mention to the dealer that if the issue is not fixed pronto, you would have a hard time giving them a positive review.

Not saying I don't agree, but go buy an RV and let me know how you make out, we bought our rv new in 2000, it was 45k, then. it was at the dealer 9 times in under 600 miles...

I know all about RV’s. Lol. I had a couple. The quality control that goes into them is nonexistent. I drove a brand new Cat 950H this winter clearing city snow. 245 hours and not as much as a drip and the blade and wing was removed many times to install a blower. That’s what quality control is all about.

I’ve narrowed it down to the hoses that come back from the loader to the rear of the machine. Its after the quick disconnects but before they go into the hydraulic unit. The fluid is coming out through protective sleeve so it must be a bad hose. There isn’t anything else that it can be coming from.

So “WHO“ should take the responsibility? All I did was back it 25 feet into my garage. Should I take the blame for it? It’s leaked over a quart and a half of hydraulic fluid so far this weekend. Before you analyze my issues maybe you should think about why a brand new tractor would be delivered this way. It had to be leaking before it was loaded in the trailer.

Still analyzing me are you. No problem. If you haven’t anything good to say, I really don’t need to hear it.

Not really could careless on analyzing you no skin in this game for me.I see in another thread you complain about hybrid tires on this tractor. Would you bitc- the same if this was a John Deere or Kubota product? You had a very minor bad experience get over it and enjoy your new tractor.

If it's on the underside, maybe the tractor was high-centered going on or coming off the trailer. Look for other damage too.

I bet the dealer will blame the Covid Times. Seems that's a catch-all for everything now days. 😏

Funny. A friend of mine has a "Tiffen" I think it is called. When he first got it, the hydraulic jacks would leak down and out on the ground. Hose cut by the frame. 15,000 miles later, pop outs would not pop in, then the u joints went out, then, then , then... Another buddy is dealing with a wiring harness replacement after the exhaust melted the wire harness. It might be a total!
The leaking hydraulic oil will be a super simple fix or a tractor replacement if it is a seal that requires splitting the tractor. Not the best time for a tractor to be down. I understand the frustration but nothing man made is close to being perfect.

I would be upset too. Why does everyone think he doesn’t have a case to be upset? He just paid thousands of dollars for something he has to wait to use. Time is money
