1968 Ford 5000

Hi there. I'm new here. I have a 1968 Ford 5000. It sat for like 2 months. Now it will turn over but not crank. Like it is not getting fuel. Battery is fully charged and strong. Just topped off fresh fuel. So its not that. Am checking fuel filters. Any suggestions?

IF it will fire on starting fluid, it's fuel issue. If not, ignition problem. Check that you have power to coil, dry distributor inside & out, points good & proper gap.

Is your 5000 gas or diesel?
If diesel fuel filter is a place to start check for water, sludge, etc. in the filters.

Was it supposedly in running condition when last parked? Is it the gasoline type or the diesel? If diesel - do NOT use starting fluid.

Also if diesel, look at the kill lever on the side of the injector pump, if there is a button in the center press that then try to start it...

Does it have a high/low range lever? Fords wont start in gear.
