One of the things I really liked on my Android cell phones of the past was the ability to record both sides of a phone call. The states I lived in allowed that and I didn't need to record many calls. It was mainly when I dealt with contractors (rarely) or fast food orders for the wife (more often).
But now they seemed to have killed that capability unless one goes with an app that requires total submission- control of all recordings, contacts, etc.
And it seems to have been done on most android phones but I know it's gone on my Samsungs.
Anybody have any idea why it was done?
