Hi All,
The tractor I ordered last October has finally arrived (well mostly). I ordered most of the options including: third function, rear wiper, linked pedal, PTO cruise, HST cruise, telescopic links and second remote.
Attachments and implements:
backhoe (still waiting for that),
2" capacity mower (wrong one delivered - rejected and purchased from another dealer), landscape rake, tiller, grapple (on order 12 week lead time), big tool Rack (due next week).
I plan to use my rollover scraper, flail mower, tandem disc, and rear blade from my 1959 Case 310b and 1941 Farmall H.
So far I really like the tractor. The only defect I have noticed is that the 4x4 indicator does not come on when I engage four wheel drive. I can see the indicator light up when I turn the starter on, so I think the switch is not sensing the lever or not connected. I plan to take a look at that this weekend.
I also need to trim the PTO shaft for the tiller and try that out.
It has been very nice to be able to go out after work and mow in the rain and snow. This is about the only time of year that is safe to mow around here. I received the tractor just in time because it may not rain much more this year.
Has anyone come up with a good set of lights for lighting out the sides of the tractor? I was eyeing the beacon light brackets for mounting some LEDs.

Thanks for all the problem and review posts! They really help when making a buying decision.

Could you please back up the tractor a little? It's blocking the view of that sweet Land Cruiser! Seriously though, congratulations on the tractor. I love my older DK40SE.

I do not believe the 4WD indicator light is set up for that tractor - each model offers different standard features, however the indicator lights are included with them all and come on at start up - mine does not activate the 4WD light when in gear but will at start up - my prior 2610 did not activate the parking brake light when using, but lite at start up etc....

I took delivery of a new CK3510 in January and had the same question about the 4WD indicator light. I was told the light was only active on models with electronic (not manual) 4WD engagement.

Interesting. That would be disappointing! Then they must use the same instrument cluster/ display for all of their tractors. If this is true, they should at least put a cheesy piece of tape over the idiot lights that don't actually indicate anything.
A user could look at the dashboard and assume that they were not in four wheel drive, causing major damage to the drivetrain. This could happen because the indicator went on at start and then went back off.

Yes, they use the same IP across model lines. I agree that it causes confusion.

So far I like them. I was hoping for snow to try them in today but it is not sticking. I do notice that they desperately need liquid ballast. Unfortunately this is southern California and nobody sells liquid ballast. I really want beet juice type liquid because it gets down to about 5 degrees Fahrenheit sometimes. I don't want a toxic antifreeze because we do have sharp stuff that will puncture the tires.

I loaded mine with rv antifreeze, more expensive but non toxic

Nice tractor. When I first did my research that was the one I decided on. I think Kioti makes really good stuff. Would have pulled the trigger but the salesman turned me off a bit and the dealer was a bit further away than their free delivery radius. So I went with a Branson 4820ch from a dealer closer by.

Wait - did you say you like to mow in the snow?

MoKelly
Yep. About the only fire safe time to mow in a la ninia weather year! We have rabbit brush, buckwheat and other brush that the gophers and rabbits dig up underneath and create a mound of dirt. These mounds get high enough that the mower will hit dirt even on the highest setting. The sparks can be seen when mowing at night. The brush is about 3 to 4 feet tall on our place and so an inch of snow is not going to matter to the mower.
Speaking of the mower; I am impressed with the Kioti/Woods RC2072 I purchased. It will cut the brush rather than bounce off like my flail mower did. Now I think I will be able to use the offset disc without having the disc ride on top of the brush.

Looks like a perfect day to mow!
Except that I have to work.
Perhaps at lunch time.

Nice! What's in there? Catfish, small mouth bass, trout?
I managed to get out at lunch and mow for a few minutes. This is the stuff I am cutting/pushing out of the way. The Yerba Santa mows if it is small but sometimes just breaks at the roots when it is tall.
I have rediscovered my archery range!
The third picture is our version of buckwheat. It winds up being very stiff like a bundle of barbless fence wire.View attachment 690395View attachment 690396

Primarily catfish, large mouth and small mouth bass. I’ve never seen any trout.

Catfish are plentiful. You can catch more than you can eat. But the bass taste the best (IMO).
