The dishwasher thread got me thinking. I'd love to hear what companies people have dealt with which have either made a quality product or which have really stood behind their products. I know companies change over time, so a "good" company from 10 years ago may have changed management and not be a good one anymore.

Moen, Anderson, Aroma, and Muck are so far the 4 companies that I've run across which stand behind their products.

Moen has made sure all of the faucets in my house are working perfectly. Most just replacing cartridges, but one faucet did need other free parts to stop leaks.

Anderson sent up free replacement panes when the house builder put a screw through the edge of one and sent another which wasn't perfect. They also have guided me through finding the correct replacement parts and selling them as a reasonable price.

Aroma and Muck both sent me brand new product once the original stopped working with no issues of proving when I bought them.

So far no appliance company has made my list...

Monster charging units replaced two so far good to their word, Anderson redid some sliding doors that failed no charge, Welcraft boat years ago good to their word, interstate batteries too, subzero. These are the ones that come to mind

An obvious one for me has been Snap-On.
No questions asked when something breaks, they just replace it.

Rigid Tool. As long as you register your purchase they warranty it for life and, so far so good. The free replacement batts come quickly. The actual failed tool evaluation and repair/replace takes longer but they seem to stand behind their product.

Bosch. :D:laughing::thumbsup:

My Ford F350 is going to be 20 years old this year and has had very few problems. Most of the issues, and there are only a few, are simply due to old age. Last one was the clutch pedal broke. I mean it really broke, as in the pedal fractured. That alternator went at 15 years. There is an electrical issue, where the power windows or the radio will not work, when it is hot outside and the truck is started. Everything works after a short period of time. Had to replace the hydraulic clutch assist. The CPSes had to be replace every few years until Ford got scared of a class action law suit and provided a CPS that does not fail.

The truck has only left me on the side of the road once and that was the clutch pedal breaking. Good thing about the pandemic is that my miles on the truck have really dropped. I think I only drove around 1800-2400 miles after the lock down hit.

The new vehicles scare me with all of the electrical do dads. Saw a review of a SUV and the cost as tested was more than a Porsche.:confused3::thumbdown:

Later,
Dan

Bosch was a disappointment to us, fair stuff but not great, we had a washer, dryer and dishwasher. The dishwasher was really good.

I like Carhart stuff, but once again good, not great.

Filson on wool clothing is really top notch, the other stuff just above average. They will also repair stuff for free if the damage is fixable.

I would add Kubota and John Deere to the list. Both my JD and Kubota had a couple of quirks but quality tractors and parts availability top notch.

HYUNDAI, we have three and any problems are resolved very quickly, toyota not far behind, Nissan, never will i ever buy one again the way they try to dodge warranty problems.

I didn’t see Honda on your list. Wife and I both have Honda’s and both are higher mileage. I’m not sure how Honda handles issues as we have never had an issue.

Duluth Trading, had the seam on my slip-on boots fail (probably due to doing a lot of work on a roof), sent me a new pair no problem.

We haven't had a Honda for about 30 years so no comment, these were based on our experiences, we had a sticking auto mirror and i termittent window switch which were fixed on the spot, nissan had faulty injectors and almost went to court to get them fixed at 70000km, they denied there was a problem.

They have a great reputation, but did you ever get good support on one that broke?
I did on a Bosch stove - two months out of warranty and factory backed it. It needed a control panel and Bosch paid a local repair shop to replace it and sent me another complete control system for spare. It's about 10 years old now and not another issue.

They also had some of the BEST manufacturer's calendars in the market place!:D

Obviously, those Rigid calendars are no longer "correct" in today's society.
What a sad loss of history!

We've had terrible service from Honda auto North America. We called them to complain about a Honda dealership and they basically told me "its your problem" and "you need to get tough with them". We had zero response from the large dealership who sold us a Element and misrepresented the product.

Never had a Hyundai, but toyota is at the very bottom of my list. Middle of the pack vehicles, but the customer service experience was like ArlyA's...jerked around big time by multiple dealers. The regional rep was just as bad. I will never ever darken my driveway with another one of their products. Ever. :fiery:

3M..I bought a set of work tunes hearing protection that were made by them and sounded terrible. They just sent me another pair that sounded great.

Same with Fill-Rite Fueling equipment. New auto shut off nozzle had a poor rivet (one of those long ones). They just sent a new one.

Love companies that don't waste your time and raise your blood pressure.
