In the early/mid '80s I worked with a guy who, when the forecast was brought up would reply in similar fashion. Though as I remember it, his version was more like "Dark overnight, with increasing light throughout the morning"... Then again, it WAS a long time ago, and my memory is not what it used to be (just ask my wife if you don't believe me).

I believe that forecast predates any of us.

My wife does that but she gets a pass, she was raised by an Evangelical Minister who loved to talk. But that is one calling where that is a good thing.
