If it were not for the bleeding heart politics of the subject all non native cat species would be treated the same as the pythons in S FL are being treated, there should be bounties and reward for killing them...they (domestic cats) are nothing but invasive, destructive predators and should be eradicated from N. America...they are responsible for killing literally billions of native American song birds and other wildlife species annually...people that allow cats to roam freely outdoors should be heavily fined and jailed..

Ha! The only way I've seen cats catch a bird is by stalking a bird feeder. The feeder helps birds to flourish, and the cats get a few. Seems like a wash.

Hawks kill a lot of song birds also. Let's wipe them out while we're at it.

I can guarantee one of our two cats has never killed a bird. She was born in the house. The very times we have taken her out in the yard, she high steps across the grass and waits by the door for us to let her in. It is like she hates for paws to touch grass.

You can buy skunk scent any place that sells hunting gear. Dilute with water to be sure there's enough to go around.

I missed that thread. Great idea. It’s not the dogs fault their owners think so little of others. Spraying the owners would be even better.

Same to be said fer cranky old fart not native to S Florida. Complete menace dey are and when spotted driving N of State line should be exterminated. Dang Qtips can't even get out of way, let alone park. Keep Qtips in der walled area drivin around in golf carts.

Nuttin werse den Qtip lookin out thru steering wheel can't see over hood cause dey towin overloaded tandem X camper trailer wid skidplates on back of trailer so dey don't get hung up goin across dip.

There once was a fellow that wanted cat fur to make hats, to replace expensive mink and chinchilla. So he started a cat ranch.
He quickly found that cat food was expensive ... so he started a rat ranch next door and planned to feed the rats to the cats. Now what do you feed the rats?
The cats! (after being relieved of their fur coats.). So, feed the rats to the cats and the cats to the rats to get hats. A sort of perpetual motion machine.

My wife yelled at the two cats we have one day when a mouse was found in the house, grabbed their feed bowls, yelled at them some more, and went inside.
My wife is beautiful and eloquent but she lets loose she's about Beth Dutton level.

Two days she withheld the food bowl.
The third morning there were two dead mice on the back porch.

We've not had to revisit the food issue again, no mice have been seen since, cats are still being fed, everyone is happy.

not sick, it makes total sense!!.. you get rid of the loose cats, and the bird population can survive!.. cats kill for pleasure, so those sick people that let their cats outside to kill birds are the sick one's!!..

Three blind mice in the simple bucket trap. I use peanut butter and bury them at sea afterwards. No poison, they go back clean into the food chain. Fish food.
