Rant on shipping

I've heard of some Chinese Merchants sending off the wall stuff to unsuspecting folks and then giving themselves 5 Star Reviews.

Yes, a scam. The higher reviews the farther up the search ladder they go, meaning they get more hits/purchases or whatever.

I would assume that to be true. I have also been promised gift cards for leaving 5 Star Reviews. I leave quite a few reviews but they are honest and subjective and only sent after I have used the item. Some of these people want reviews before you even receive the item.

My wife's email was attac hed to Amazon so I never even knew they solicited reviews. I used to wonder why people went out of their way to write a review, " I don't know, I haven't used it yet"

As to many reviews, note the verbiage, very often it is typical Chinese like translation English.
A sure sign.

It's what they call a 'cable gland'. Ordered two of each of three sizes, along with a couple of outdoor weatherproof boxes. Ordered grey to match the boxes All six said 'in stock' at the time, but so far only five of the six have shipped.

Amazoom off (removed)'s vendor list. Currently teaching Harem members how to use Froogle.com to find better pricing and factor in shipping cost.

Amazoom and bunch of chinamen got real good at sellin things dey don't have and think dey can get from some other chanaman. Figured out cheat to ebay system and set up fake shipping company. Dey collect money soon as shipping label generated and ebay not watch dem any more. Seem like more & more just get money & disappear. Nobody gonna chase dem in China. Same crap on Amazoom.

I make sure and review the purchase when there are issues.

Wife ordered something and it never arrived. She contacted the seller.

Sellers email didn't make sense to my wife so I read it. Wife couldn't figure out where the lady came up with the amount of items or the color.

I pointed out that the lady mistook our address for the color and number of items

After that it went more smoothly.

I'm thinking the lady was stoned when she processed the order.

I generally review the merchandise, good or bad, quality or value of purchase. There is usually a spot to rate the vendor or shipping. If the vendor sucks, I will try a different one the next time. There are times the shipping gets honked up no matter what.

December 17th order of My Pillow arrived this afternoon...

Instructions said to tumble dry on high heat for 15 minutes... doing that now.

Was surprised how long it took to arrive but in the scheme of things it's not a big deal...
