What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

-7 this morning and my yard is frozen and the power just went out. Happy Winter Solstice!

I put 32hr on the tractor this weekend. I was out all day Saturday and Saturday night, into Sunday most of the day burring a VERY large slash pile. Wet, half decayed material mixed with mud, snow, and nastyness. All I have is a tine bucket to move the mixed brush, needless to say, those tines needs some serious straightening, and I need a grapple bucket before I do the next pile.
But this one is now a large pile of smoldering ash! I'll have a video up soon (I hope)

The last two days I have been breaking in my new WoodMaxx MX9900 wood chipper (on my XR4150) Very happy with this purchase. Handled about everything I put in it and worked flawlessly. Nice, well built, American made machine.

Very nice chipper! I'm in the decision making process of either a chipper (probably not as fancy as the WoodMaxx MX9900 :licking or a grapple bucket. I'm leaning toward the bucket, but I can certainly use a chipper. I just cant afford both right now.

Ever look at the add-a-grapple? They make them for buckets and pallet forks. Seems like an economic solution.

^^ Maybe if you already have compatible hydraulics or electrics. Pretty sure I don't have either. Could have used one today to move some brush, but I made do with a tow strap.

You’ll want the grapple first-it makes chipping a much easier task. Pile the brush and limbs up with the grapple-switch over to the chipper at the pile and go to town!

Did you get a third function install on yours or you going to do that once you get the grapple?

One thing for sure-make yourself up a grill guard-that’s one of my winter projects-once I get done adding some additional wiring in the shop.

Here's how I upgraded mine. The pad eye is used when hauling it. I hook a big shackle to the pad eye and run the front chain thru it.
