LOL

TLDR is like one of the silliest sayings on the internet.....

Why bother responding if you are not going to read?

Since all Corvette hoods open to the rear it was clearly not installed correctly. Maybe just laying on there with the rear latch holding it.

I assumed the same, and prolly loaded on the trailer backwards.....

But still, if you have an ounce of common sense wouldnt you make sure the "bonnet" is latched properly??

It could have been loaded backwards or have been removed and just sitting on there. Thinking the rear latch would hold it. Either way I am sure it's not worth getting back after it was torn off and flew through the air. Aftermarket hoods are available for all of the generations. I am thining it's new hood time.

This is what happens when you have a heavy load on a spread axle trailer and drive through a big sink hole. The hole was so deep that the front trailer axle was off the ground and all the weight was too much for the frame to support it a the longer span from the fifth wheel to the rear trailer axle. Since it's an aluminum frame trailer, there might have been corrosion problems where the front axle hangars attach to the frame, weakening it.

I have always been told on any heavy haul trailer concentrated loads go over the axles. And single item concentrated loads can't go on aluminum trailers. Or in 3 or 4 axle vans. Because that's how you break them in half. The rear reel could have been over the axles and still scaled. The front one may have had to be there to scale with a 3 axle tractor but it's not the one that broke the trailer.

And loads with multiple deliveries are handled how?

There must have been some parmeter as to how much weight you can put in one spot that was ignored. Looks like aluminium,no? Probably would not have happened with a steel trailer.

What difference does that make. Once loaded it can stay where it is. If it scales it still will.
