47 here, expect mid 60's for high. Rained all day yesterday as the cold front hit the warm air coming off the Mexico mountains. Rained over 3.5". Most I remember in one day this year. The Northern route out of here was blocked by water. Western creeks up to the roadway but passable. Expect to be below freezing by Tuesday morning. I'll have to get out today and wrap some stand pipes. Usually don't have to do that until January. You Yanks can keep this cold weather up there. :grumpy:

Like that phrase.
Not my monkey, not my circus?

It's actually a Polish proverb:
There's a Polish proverb which millennials often use today: “Not my circus, not my monkeys.” It's a way of saying, “Don't drag me into your drama and your issues—I'm not getting involved.”
I use the original Polish language as a signature line for my work e-mail. I "borrowed" it from an engineer who worked for Pratt and Whitney (now retired)

Raining this morning. Was planning on puttering around outside today and taking the pooch to the walking trail in town. But looks like it will be sitting around with a good book instead.

Need to get the mulching kit ordered for the zero turn.

Got a call from our daughter last night. She had a stranger walk up on her house around 9pm. Didn't ring the door bell or anything. Then her doorbell camera went off line. She's six months pregnant and her hormones got the better of her.

She was rather upset and nervous. So we went and sat with her till her husband got home from deer camp. I did the dad thing and walked around the house and checked to make sure nothing was out of place.

Wife got to the front door and there was a package sitting on her front step. The Amazon driver was running late dropping off her package.

I did point out to her that she really didn't have anything to worry about. She has the twin Brother of our German shepherd. He's 100lbs of muscle and very protective of my wife and daughter. If his bark and growl didn't scare someone off. His bite would have if they came through the door.

She replied, I know, my hormones got the better of me

I used to have a co-worker that would say something like "Poor planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part"...... He was fortunate I wasn't boss. He didn't move very fast, even though he was in his 30's.

31 and heavy frost looks white as snow. Clear skies hitting 59 later.

Was scheduled to go hike Rockytop but my plantars are irritated...might be the new lightweight hiking boots I bought. Will try them again today and see how they feel.

Buppies, sounds like great time at the beach. Have a safe trip home.

You guys have great dogs. We've never had one that gets on furniture (except a Lab that would sneak when we left the house and jump down when we drove up...but we'd find hair...and one time she was so sound asleep we walked up on her. Boy did she look guilty.

We worked on our outside decorations and lights yesterday...earliest we've ever put them up...then while my wife fine tuned and rearranged a few things, I took a load to the dump and picked up some gas and diesel, and then scraped the underside of the deck on the zero...that stuff had hardened to concrete. We finished at sunset and admired the lights and moonrise...Ron your photo sure looks like a full moon.

I hope the dump was open and you didn't have to drop it off the side of a cliff on Thanksgiving weekend....;)

Hope your feet feel better. I think I get those too, mainly on bottom of right foot.

Eric, it was cool and rainy here yesterday, but we only got about an inch total. I didn't do much at all. I would have a hard time getting anything done if it was like that all the time. I told my friend, I'd want one of those cabbed John Deere gators just to putt around, with the heater on.

64°F and .01 inches rain.

Choices between watching football, finish mowing area I was in yesterday or a combination. Too early to tell.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
