Great movie, maybe the the first R rated I ever saw. Originally it was a short novel.

Trivia question, which of the actors in the movie became a main cast member in the TV show?
No idea at first but started thinking and seem so BJ did a show............

One of my scifi favorites, The Undiscovered Country, dont know which one I like better, II or VI, after VI Star Trek went down hill mostly due to the actors and ship design...........

Watched a good movie last night; "Legends of the Fall"; starring Brad Pitt and Julia Ormond (sp?). I can't really say what I liked most about it, except that the on screen relationship of Pitt and the leading lady was electric, for lack of a better word. The story line was nothing special, and Anthony Hopkins was miscast, but still, all in all, I was able to watch it all the way through without getting bored. I think an underlying theme was PTSD, although I doubt that was a known entity in the WWI era. The setting, a ranch in Montana, was much more pleasing, than say a big city. I give it an 8 out of 10.

I've seen this movie a few times and enjoyed it. I think I posted it to this thread. I don't get the "PTSD" theme. Which character?

Well, it seemed to me that Tristan (Brad Pitt) had it all, and one of the most beautiful women on the world in love with him, and he went off to see the world, lived with primitive tribes, and the good life passed him by. Seems to me he was obviously affected by his war experiences and the death of his brother, and was having trouble coping.
