That tractor wont pick that log up?
Wont even begin to, gonna do another 20' red oak log next weekend that my tractor wont lift.
That tractor wont pick that log up?
Maybe too much gobbledygook on that tractor already, or maybe he just need a set of real forks, get the weight closer to the loader arms.
That would help, I wish I could go back to 07 and get a quick detach bucket, never thought a thing about it at the time...
I've wondered for a while if he has hydraulic problems of some type. He also has an electric winch on back because the 3pth won't pick up a normal sized hitch of wood.
Still, that oak log has to weigh at least 1400 lbs...
Too bad that you don't know somebody who can weld, it would be pretty easy to get a set of QA's and convert your bucket.
Red oak 20' long, approx 16' top end, doing another one this coming weekend.
Does your mill have a debarker? That dirty acorn tree log looked like it could be hard on the chain.
Yes but keep in mine red oak is lot heavier then SYP..........Yes, having all that weight so far forward is a killer.
A grapple would help also.

I would have thought his gear trans would have made so much more power it could do it. lol. Kidding aside it痴 a pretty good size log and the bucket forks hurt it a lot. View attachment 676569
