Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low of 35, going up to 68 today. Sunny. More like spring days rather than fall this whole week, record high temps expected. Strange...

I am glad we voted early... news showing long lines at polls. I will be glad to see all the political ads go away....

I have not bothered to make the trip to get E0 gas, I just don't go that direction for anything. Maybe that's why I had to replace the carbs on the garden tractor and weed trimmer.... I usually use a stabilizer and run dry what little gas is left in them. This year, I took the advice from here and used the marine stabil. That stuff is over double the price of the regular stabil. Hope it helps.

Having a pop up on here this morning that takes the whole screen, 2 other smaller pop up windows , to download "adobe flash player" because it's outdated.... I don't have it, nor is it compatible. It is not from Adobe.... somebody trying to hack.... only way to get rid of the screen is to close TBN and reopen.... happens about every 30 seconds..... annoying....

So, got a screen shot... gonna go post it in the 'news' section...

Good morning all, 35 going to 50, sunny and windy, branch ducking season.

Drew, if you find a place to drop off clothes, let me know, we have a bag and have been having trouble finding a place.
Went bike shopping this weekend for the wife, all the stores in a 20 mile radius are out of stock.

Fixed tack lights, whoever put them in put the ground wire pushing on the hot. So cleaned that up and replaced switch.

Got the Alaskan mill last night, put it together, need some straight wood for first cut and then can try out

have to go , pop up adds on this site keep redirecting me.

Stay safe and be well

36°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 71° today. The red in the sky at sunrise was much more vibrant in person than reflected in the photo.

Stopped to vote this morning on my way to work. I usually vote in the afternoon, but decided to try early morning for a change. Was surprised by the 6am line, which came out the door and down the sidewalk to the side street. I was standing in it for a total of about 30 seconds when someone walked out and announced that there was no line inside for our precinct, and those voting there could go right in. I was in and out in about 20 minutes, as four people got there ahead of me. Easy-peasy. Glad that's over with now.

Ted, Adobe has announced that their support for Flash Player is ending on December 31st of this year. Anything asking you to "update" it is definitely a scam.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High around 80F. Winds light and variable.
More mild weather to the end of the week, but we go from 10-15 degrees above to 10-15 degrees below normal Thursday night, with a chance of rain and even snow in higher elevations. NWS says we're back in Extreme Drought conditions again, so we really need the rain.

Last year when I was running off the Honda generator during the power outages, I was paying $6.50 a gallon for E0, and there was only one place in town that sold it. That is if you don't count the Kubota/Stihl dealer selling the quart cans for several dollars each. I haven't purchased any this year, but it's time to take what remains of last year's stash and start burning it off in the Vanagon. Should probably siphon out what I put in the fire truck, too, but I'll wait for a little more rain since fires are still being started in the dry brush.

Glad you've got a plan now, Mike, and hope the wife approves.

Saw an ad from T-Mobile for their Home Internet service yesterday, and their website said it was available at my address. That was a bit of a surprise since Verizon's website told me that their LTE service was not. T-Mobile's offer has no contract, and no fees if cancelled anytime in the first 20 days, so I signed up. Worst case, it'll cost me a few dollars to ship the modem back to them. But if it works, I'll have faster service at half the cost, but one that is more vulnerable to interruption in case of a wildfire. So for a while, at least, I'll keep my satellite plan, then think about cutting down the size of the data cap to save some money. But that's counting chickens before they hatch.

Got the airbox and test sample painted yesterday, and under the LED light in the garage, the match on the test panel looks pretty close. If it's still good in today's sunshine, I'll order what I need to do the fairing and get busy with the repairs.

Well heck, I went to their site.
About like every other one I have checked on not available in your area,
not really a surprise.
Even just cell phone voice service is spotty around here,
we still do the circle dance many times when trying to make or receive a call.
Turn, can you hear me now, turn and repeat after a full turn if you don't get what was needed and depending on who it was go to a different location and try again.

You can go here and sign up for future notifications. I'm hoping for a chance to be a beta tester.

Starlink.

My search for "home internet" turned up StarLink yesterday, too, Rick. I also signed up, but I'm not located far enough north to make it into the current round of beta testing. I still like the idea of satellite internet because there is much less terrestrial equipment involved, and pretty much if you have a source of electricity, you have internet access. But one review I read made it pretty clear that StarLink can't handle large population densities, which makes it great for our rural locations, but only if the bean counters can resist the temptation to overwhelm the system and oversell the contracts. That's pretty much what happened with both the satellite companies I've dealt with, and many of the DSL and cable ones, too.

48F and bright sunshine @ 11:00, heading up to a high of 56F.

Looks like good weather across the entire country ...

Lots of birds out at the feeders, along with visitor cat ... keeping all upstairs cats entertained.

Got more BLO applied last night, also started gluing up the next feeder.

Had some of The Woman's stew as well ... along with a few cookies. All good.

No real plans other than heading down to vote, Woman is swinging by polling location on way back from appointment to see whether or not there is a line.

Otherwise more work on feeders and some basement cleanup.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Need to go to PO again as I only got one of the 3 pieces of mail I was expecting.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Had a similar pop up on TBN this morning, but screen was for McAfee, which I don't use.

Just got back from voting. Zero line...was done in 3 minutes...but about 10 people in line when we left. The guy working the poll said there was a real long line earlier.

decided to wait until later this afternoon on the way home to vote. Have to believe the lines will be shorter then. I'm told folks were across the street at 5am waiting to vote...
And my phone has been ringing every ten minutes for hours, maddening, I don't even answer any more if I don't recognize the name, which I never do...
