What no chain to the bumper of the ranger and a good pull....

It was awful tempting, Peter.

My 69 years of "experience " kicked in and I took the extra ten minutes to fetch the forklift rather than have to pick my bumper off the driveway later.

Dang it, Terry... I was looking forward to the damage you did but you hid it with the Ranger.

If those tall sheared Yews aren't there for a screen, they can be cut back and they will recover like young shrubs. They could be cut down to 1' or so and allowed to regrow next year, and by shearing a time or two they will fill back in and look like fresh shrubs. I hate pruning and shearing them when they get that tall.

 My luck I would have somehow cracked the curb. Nice work.

I never even thought about the curb. More likely a window. LOL

Absolutely true. I left a lot of things "unattended " for too long.

Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

Y'all keep calling them Smoke Houses...but I don't see no smoke! :D

Nice repurpose of the grain bin. Oddly enough I just read an article in either Fine Homebuilding or Journal of Light construction where someone did nearly the same thing, but they turned it into an outdoor kitchen too. I'll try looking for a photo..

I'll never find the pic either but the coolest one I saw is a Bar. Very large bin to create the roof. One ring of a small bin sitting on the concrete in the center. Bartender is in the middle. Bar and stools all the way around.

Re: Big Barn痴 Retirement Farm Shop

Here's a couple time lapse pics of my farm. I need to do a current one including the new shop/house.

The original pic was taken in 1947 by my Aunt Charlene. She was a Barnstormer Pilot. First woman licensed Pilot in Howard County Iowa. Second pic is taken with my Drone in March 2017. Tried to align myself in a similar position as Aunt Charlene was in her plane. Aunt Charlene always made me want to be a better person.
