Y'all keep calling them Smoke Houses...but I don't see no smoke!

Nice repurpose of the grain bin. Oddly enough I just read an article in either Fine Homebuilding or Journal of Light construction where someone did nearly the same thing, but they turned it into an outdoor kitchen too. I'll try looking for a photo..

I just bought a 16oz. ball peen hammer to have aboard my TLB.
Why ball peen? It is a hammer, and fits in my tool storage compartment.....claw hammer would not fit.
I store several hand tools in one lower loader mount tube (4" inside dia.), and a choker chain in the other.
Hammer with 20% HF discount, and including tax ....$4.04.
Made in China, of course, but is quite decent.

I actually think it is very good!
To drive pins in/out etc.
I won't use it as a sledge!
I have several sledges, but a sledge would be impossible to store aboard.

Our farm came with a small stone smoke house. Unfortunately it has large cracks that will be very difficult to fix. It's only about 6x6 inside, so it's small. It is also in the way of some plans I have. Our house is at the bottom of a hill. There's a small plateau before the final decent to the house. The plan is to remove this plateau so we can have parking on that side of the house along with an actual back yard and patio. We are also looking to dig a root cellar into the side of the hill. The plan is to make my wife a garden shed that resembles this old smokehouse so we can keep the memory of it.

Over last summer we met someone who lived in our house in the 1940's. We learned quite a bit about the property from her. Where our garage is there used to be a summer kitchen. There also used to be a garage located near the barn. Our garage was added onto the right side of the house in the aerial photo.
