I enjoy the peeled garlic cloves in oil. Saves time and effort since fresh cloves dry out before I can eat them all.

I have used that technique to peel garlic cloves; just put them in a jar (no water), put the lid on, and shake for about 30 seconds or so, and they will peel with ease!
Thanks for reminding me, it's time to plant my garlic.
