Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #119,361
Just got back from looking and testing the DK 50...nice tractor...started easy, seems like adequate power. My 4520 has 46 PTO HP, the Kioti has 40...that's probably close enough for my needs. I liked the shuttle shift (my favorite transmission...none of the power loss compared to a hydro) and overall condition of the tractor. It seem to have the Deere desease of the paint fading pretty quickly if not stored inside.
Other then needing a good cleaning, the Kioti is is very nice for a 9 year old tractor that spent it's life outside
One thing I really liked was how robust the front axle...much heavier then the 4520. It (the Kioti) has much larger front tires (my estimate about 33% larger) then the Deere compacts
So, my 4520 is for sale...I have a guy stopping by tomorrow...hopefully, he'll show up

Hope the deal comes thru for you Roy.

Got most of it done. Moss is really bad, what’s good to get rid of moss in the grass?

There were some large washout places, now I can drive sideways safely.

Seat on the Bx23 is rather uncomfortable.

Typically, around here with our soils: add slow-release pelletized lime to reduce soil acidity.

Good evening all. 64F for the start, few clouds, moderate breeze. Mostly clear sky, wind gust to 20 in morning backed off some in afternoon and high temp 88F. Two cold fronts coming through next week, not much rain, highs will be back in the 70's again. Bike ride this morning, 58 miles. run to town to get altered and cleaned suit, hit pharmacy and lunch with wife :). nap, hit small bucket of balls, and work on computer keyboard. Deoxit helps the battery contacts and found small broken piece of plastic under "s" key. now working better.

72F and clear @ 21:45, overnight low headed to a rather mild 62F.

Upstairs cats are at back sliding glass door in dining room howling at new visitor cat, who has been showing up here for the last week or so. Seems like a strong candidate for number 5 ...

WB refilled halfway, last planting hole prepped in northeast bed. One rhododendron dug, moved, transplanted, and watered in.

A couple shots of the donor/parent, as of this last removal:

LOL ... I've barely made a dent in it ... at this rate it's gonna be a multi-year project ...

Got three pallets of retaining wall block moved onto the concrete from the ground in back, moved another three back there after that.

Moved auger rack over onto the new circle/driveway temporarily.

Brought one bucketload of mulch down and dumped by the new transplant.

Talked to the guy with the fill dirt, he's gonna call me tomorrow and set up a time to drop a load off. Sounds like his dump truck should be able to pull inside the barn ... which would be real good, since it saves me having to move it again.

Back of shrub bucket for RNG:

Hope everyone had a great day.

72 degrees this morning going for a high of 86. I did not apply either fertilizer or insecticide to our yard earlier this year as I've done in the past. So 4 days ago, I sprayed the entire yard with Ortho Bug B Gone, then yesterday I applied a heavy dose of 32-0-10 Scotts Winter Guard fertilizer in hopes of getting some of the 50% chance of rain forecast for tonight.

good morning all. Very foggy morning, will be warm for next several days, then front comes through with heavy rains and the temps drop a lot.

Have everything confirmed for the trip North, friends with new trailer confirmed they picked it up yesterday and now will modify it to their liking, including
painting interior and adding tiedown rail system. He really wanted an all aluminum trailer but was 10 weeks plus to get it, settled on steel.
Has a Duramax Chevy, plenty of power to pull what he wants.

Think I might make a trip to storage locker today, and get a few more small boxes from Office Depot.
Otherwise nothing much planned until zooming with sister in California
around dinner time.

RS, now that's what I call recycling.
Mostly, Fall should be nice time for bike riding. You must be in really good shape from the exercise.
Roy, good luck with selling your tractor. That model should be in high demand.

RNG, how's your air? Predictions weren't very good for California this weekend.

   / Good morning!!!! #119,374
64 going to 77, maybe some sunshine.

RS, your landscaping project is really coming along. I know what you mean about the Werner fiberglass extension ladders...mine has gained quite a few pounds this year. :)

Phil, beautiful tree.

BEF, I agree with lime as the solution for moss. But we like ours...it covers the bare spots. :)

Since we got over an inch of rain from the storm, the ground is still wet, but hoping it will dry later today or tomorrow...the grass is still growing so fast.

I patched some cracks in my Muck boots yesterday...really need waterproof boots this time of year since the grass is thick and so wet with dew every morning. I opened a tube of Aquaseal...supposed to use for my waders, but hoping it will work on these boots.

64 right now...high in the upper 70's today.
Other then (maybe) mowing the back yard (fenced in area, and even that's a borderline need), no plans today.
Did get an e-mail asking about my 4520 (which is for sale), we'll see if the guys shows up...

Prayers for riptides, Jay and wife, Kyles daughter, MFW and all others I may miss

First cup of coffee is cooling. 60° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with cloudy skies in PM. Got lawn mowed, car washed and house vent closed off yesterday. Wanted to fly drone and take some pictures of colors changing also. But winds were kind of high for that. It's only thing on list for today.
While everything is nice and green around here we have not had any accumulation of rain for 3 weeks. Sure hope we get some this week as weather changes from 70's to 60's then 50's.
A sign that fall is here.

Drew, that last day emptying motorhome will be busy.

Roy, good luck with JD sale.

RS, looks like inspector is on the job letting know when bucket is full of chips.

Phil, great color on tree. Nothing like that here yet. But soon.

Wngsprd, when I was younger I liked to go barefoot in wet with dew grass. Not any more. Hope boot repair works.

Bird, busy day. Makes for more work.

Mostly at one time it did. There is a spillway next to the mill where water was directed to water wheel. Not running this year.

Buckeye, good leveling job.

Chris, same here with gun shops. Even the gun racks are almost empty.

Don, do not over do the gardening.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.
