53°F and foggy this morning, going up to 80° today. For now, there is actually rain in the forecast for Monday. Hoping that stays true. We are bone dry here.
Randy, I have a friend I went to school with who recently retired from the Marines as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. He had been assigned to a desk job in DC, but decided he didn't want to sit at a desk for his last two years, and had himself assigned to a V-22 crew. I used to tease him that he was likely the only person on the planet flying in one of those contraptions on purpose. His stories of the constant problems with that thing are discouraging. On the bright side, he told of once when they were stranded at a small town airport somewhere after a failure forced them to land there. They waited almost a week-and-a-half for the replacement parts to get there. In the mean time, once the locals found out about their situation, they started making daily deliveries of home cooked meals for him and his crew. Hard not to like that.
Welcome to the GM thread, workinonit.
Buppies, my Wife's S&W Shield 9mm has a little takedown lever inside the ejection port just under the firing pin that has to be rotated out before removing the slide assembly. It's a PITA, and I almost always forget it's there, wondering why that infernal thing won't come off. "Clever" designs like that are just frustrating. You shouldn't need a tool to field strip a firearm for cleaning.
Glad you're finally getting some breathable air, RNG. That has to feel better.
I got notice a couple days ago that something I ordered last Friday is unavailable (website said they had 90 in stock), and it will take another 10 days to make one for me at the factory in China. I told them that's fine, as I'm in no hurry for it. I woke up this morning to find an email telling me it shipped early this morning. :confused2: Some companies seem to have no connection at all between left hand and right hand.
