Good Morning!!!! 65F @ 7:30AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 94F. Winds light and variable.
You can always supply a little load with a heavy extension cord, Drew, but not the other way around. You might be able to take some of the sting out of the purchase by finding a used one on Craig's List or the like. Glad the chemo is still treating you OK, and your future is becoming clearer.
The older I get, the more "there but for the grace of God" moments I seem to be having, Ken. Hope you find the leak soon!
Hope your coffers continue to hold, Eric.
Good point about flu shot timing, Ron. Nice little buck, too. Do you know the difference between beer nuts and deer nuts? Beer nuts are $5.00/pound, while deer nuts are under a buck.
That station in Little Cypress would also need a satellite internet connection, Don, as all the others go down with the grid. That's about the only good thing I have to say about satellite internet.
Glad for the good news, RS. The spaghetti here last night was delicious, too.:licking:
Vanagon parts should ship this week, seller has been dealing with 115F temps in Las Vegas and that's slowing him down.
Got the new Ethernet cable pulled out to the generator pad, but it took many trips up and down the hill to tame the tangles. The shielded connectors showed up later in the day, and I got those on, too. It's a lot easier if you strip a couple inches of the outer insulation off first, then sort the wires to the proper order, and THEN trim them to length. The instructions aren't always correct.:muttering: Then the network tester showed up, two days from Germany and two weeks from Las Vegas? Whatever, it says there is a short in the original Ethernet cable 16 meters from one end. So I'll go looking for that later, just for grins. Got another access point up and running at the generator pad, and WiFi is now nice and strong on the back patio. Enjoyed watching speeches from the RNC while sipping a cool spirit; the smoke let up enough to see more blue sky and not feel the burning eyes and throat.
Walmart trucker neighbor has been hauling loads in Washington state, and enjoying the clean air and cooler temps. Says it's real pretty up there, but neither of us would be happy with the winters.
Town run today; won't get much else done.
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
