83F and clear @ 21:15, high today hit 88.5F ... overnight low expected to only go down to 72F. Similar tomorrow.
Got one suet feeder and the nugget feeder filled first thing, emptied bucket of debris into compost pile and covered with old compost. Then hauled old redbud tree up to burn pile.
Following that I placed latest Menards order - some five bags of composted cow manure, five bags of concrete, some plumbing odds and ends, and a 20' section of 12" double wall culvert for the dry creek bed on the path over to the pole barn.
After that scheduled flu shot for next week and then appointment for check up/normal meds for the week after.
Then called and spoke with a friend I haven't spoken to in quite a while. Was kind of dreading the call, as her mother is in a nursing home. As of the last time we spoke they had not had any COVID cases. This time it turned out that they had had an outbreak at the facility (50+ cases) since we last spoke and her mother came down with it ... fortunately it was a mild case for her and she has since tested negative/no symptoms. And the facility has since moved all positive cases out to another specialized facility for positive cases.
After that I fed the downstairs cat, got cleaned up and shaved, rounded up the the Sawzall (to cut the 20' culvert so it would fit in the van) and headed off for Menards.
Got current order and previous order for 144 retaining wall block and geogrid picked up and then headed for the barn ... after a quick detour at Dunkin for a frozen coffee (... was drenched with sweat ...

)
Small shower just before I got to the house, which it apparently missed.
The Woman was just putting the spaghetti in the pot when I walked in the door.
Hope everyone had a great day.
