Looking at a pull type 10’ dual spindle mower and was wondering if that style takes out grass that has been ran over by the tractor better than the 6’ I have now. Seems like after overlapping to re mow what was laid down I am only mowing 4’ .

Have a 50 pto hp tractor so should have enough to use it. Would there be other issues with that style of mower?

It absolutely will now much better. Higher blade tip speed. Take a good look at Rhino mowers. Excellent quality

Wouldn't a 6' single spindle have a higher blade tip speed than a 10' dual spindle?

I used to have a mounted JD1008 dual spindle 10ft cutter. If you controlled your speed it cut the tire marks pretty well. Not completely though. So not sure what you expect?

I now use a JD1508 batwing 15ft cutter. So same blade length and assume blade tip speed. I use it to cut my roadbanks. I have it set pretty short and I go slow. It does a good job with the tire marks but you can still see them.

In tall grass the right tire lays it down and the blade can’t get to it , figured with a pull type twin the blades would be further back and what had been driven over would be double cut from two different directions.

Makes sense.
