I have driven some heavy equipment haulers but nothing like that. the one I drove had 12 axles when set up as heavy as it could go.

Yea but that is in Mexico. They have a lot of innovations down there. Somehow they get the job done but I am sure there are a couple of more accidents.

Trying to get here from an email notice of new post, I was taken to a screen that was 80% advertising.

If I wasn't a member no way I could have seen anything of value and I would have been GONE.

As it is, I logged in to say Good Bye.

That is what finally made me install an ad blocker. All the other web sites I visit, the ads are tolerable.

Maybe it's your email link prompting it, but I never get pop ups and don't see many adds... definitely not distracting. I use Microsoft Edge browser and no ad blockers. Sorry to see you go.

You do realize that you are comparing apples to oranges. A more apt comparison would be shooting at a target onto somebody else's property without an adequate backstop; not much fun when bullets start hitting trees around you. I know, it's happened to me on client's land twice. Actually there is no law against the latter, although it violates the second tenet of any basic NRA training.

Seeing that impressive trailer picture just made me think how some contribute so much to this society and others are only parasites (or worse) , letting others do all the work and pay for everything.

That’s what I wonder when I see stuff like that. I’m betting the trailer is half the gross.

There's one for sale that's rated 130 ton. It was a 2000 model in not great condition. Asking price was $375,000.
Not sure what the weight is vs load. I guess it doesn't matter at that level.

The picture I posted was in front of my house. I'm guessing it was hauling a transformer since they build them locally and the ports are half a mile away.

We used to see those trucks almost daily on I81 in Virginia,,
but, now that everyone is so energy saving conscious,, there seems to be less demand to increase the number of transformers,,

Maybe when electric cars (and tractors) become more commonplace,, we will again see the new transformers moving..
