Good morning!!!!

Good morning. The sun is out again, we are now entering our 4th week of dry weather. The sky lit up with thunder storms last night, yet unlike Sodamo's, my new water tank remains almost empty as not a drop fell on us, all the clouds skirted to the north.

Wagtails have decided to nest only a couple of feet from our patio doors. It is fun to see one land close by with a beak full of nest building materials, then look carefully around to make sure no one is watching before it hops up into the middle of a tub of plants. If it catches sight of us, it pretends it is just out for a stroll, strutting around in a wide circle before trying again from the other side.

Take care all.

Good morning, the temp is 40°F and going up to 52. Wind E 16 gusting to 25 mph. Rain.

I am not sure what I will be getting into today. Might as well call it an energy conservation day.

Stay safe all

now that is a lot of rain David.
woke up this morning and surprised no rain at all last night.
Not pleased to see tornado warning just posted, front will come through in a couple of hours with high winds.
Just hope it doesn't wreck the trees.

Otherwise I'm not going anywhere today. Need to go out shortly and take down flag and some hanging plants.
wind is picking up, making a background roar as it goes through the woods surrounding my home. I'm basically in the lee of woods
from at least three directions but hearing tunes now through the house air vents, kitchen fan, starting to tune up for the big chorus soon.
This too shall pass. And I will be left with all kinds of pine debris, pretty normal for high winds here.

64 going to 81, but strong winds and rain are still here, with threat of tornadoes. Heard noises all night from the wind, especially after Coco woke us up barking at them, thinking the raccoons were back on the porch.

David, that's a month or two worth of rain for us. Your ham and entire meal looked great.

Mostly, never heard of chicken and pineapple quesadillas...sounds good.

Buppies, looking forward to pix of your bench and knowing you are getting to use it. Surprised you had snow the other day.

Eric, cool that you have a wagtail nesting. We don't have them here, so looked them up...interesting birds.

Let the woodstove go out yesterday, but brought more firewood onto the porch with predicted lows in the 30s Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

61 been raining heavily since 10:00 last night 5 inches since yesterday at 4:00 pm windy too. Tornados in the eastern part of our county flash flooding severe thunderstorm warnings. SC and other southern states lots of damage and could be a repeat next weekend but before Wednesday supposed to have snow. NAO has gone negative

Prayers for all

59 going to 79. Pouring for last hours. Gutters cannot keep up. Yikes.
Heard a big boom a few minutes ago. Think a tree might have come down on something. Odd..will...have to venture out when it lightens up.

Have a great day all. Be safe.

45 right now...high in the upper 50's and rain...up to an inch or so.

Did get the gutters cleaned out yesterday...that's the good news.
Not so good news in a I took a dive on a rug covering a concrete floor. Apparently wrenched my back....I can barely walk...
