Need to pour second cup of coffee. 34ー Heading to 46ー with rain and brisk winds. Got some more of pond cleaned yesterday. Starting to look good. Need to use power washer in some areas. May have to wait for a few day to get at that. No plans for today. Other than wait for Kroger delivery around noon.
BIL is getting better every day. Still on oxygen.
Son had to send one of his workers home for breaking company CV rules. He cannot return for 14 days.

Mostly not sure why photo does not work. Here it is again.

Rick, tree trimming looks good. How many more tree do you have to do?

RNG, great rainbow picture.

Wngsprd, shame that parks had to be closed. The parks around here are closing for Easter weekend. They have been packed on weekends lately. Some people are going to be climbing the walls.

LS, you will like having a garden pond. I enjoy mine. An aerator is your friend keeping pond healthy. Check out The Pond Guy for supplies and information. I buy a lot of supplies off Amazon and EBAY.

Drew, nice flower pictures.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

"Rick, tree trimming looks good. How many more tree do you have to do?"

Hundreds Ron. I trim up the ones, in front pastures, so I can mow under them with one of the tractors. Opening up the canopies allows more light and gets more grass growing under the trees. We've kept about 20 acres, at the north end of ranch, pretty much as it was when we bought this place in 2006. I do keep fence lines sprayed and mowed out about 8' from the fence lines back there.

I agree on Pond Guy. Lots a good information there.

Wife is threatening an AM rum for me as well.

Freudian slip? :) Better luck fishing next time.

57 and drizzle going to 76...we barely got any of this storm, Buppies.

Mostly, glad you got a chance to go fishing. I know some of our boat launches are closed. Over the last couple of weeks, Shenandoah National Park "shrunk" as it first closed all facilities, campgrounds, picnic areas, popular trails, then the whole northern and central sections, then finally yesterday the entire park. :(

We are still making do with the groceries we picked up last week. Running out of some fresh things, but not planning to go back for a while. Eating asparagus from the garden, and enjoying the Sweet Betsy. lilac and apple blooms...smells sweet wherever we walk right now.

Had to mow a section of yard again yesterday that always seems to grow the fastest.

Sorry about your park getting closed. How many asparagus plants are needed to get a nice bunch. I planted about 8 plants years ago. They have not flourished. I believe only 4 are still alive. I need to get some more root sets. I'm just wondering how many I should plant?

Need to head out to work.

Prayers for all.

37 here going to 48 with rain all day in the forecast. Doing ok. Wife is home safe and I am trying to work with only one person all day. Using gloves, soap and water and alcohol between each portion.
Luckily 3hours of my job daily is a paid commute..keeping my vehicle as disinfected as I can. Getting gas every other day sucks but I try not to touch anything on the pump without gloves on. Not sure on the numbers around my town but I know their not bad. The area I have to work in is a lot higher. Only 130 more work days to go! Glad people are on the mend!
Stay safe and healthy everyone!

Just saw you work for MDOT. My oldest brother is a retired civil engineer from ODOT.

Kyle, I think the biggest issue with asparagus here is our winters are normally just too mild. Here’s some guidance from TAMU.

Asparagus - How long does it take to grow asparagus?

   / Good morning!!!! #109,898
An overcast 37ºF for today’s low; a rainy overcast 41ºF presently; and I anticipate a rainy late AM early PM with increasing winds and a possible T-storm or 2. The NWS/Boston-Norton has issued a wind advisory for this area.

Bruce- I am sorry to read about those uncooperative fish, but at least you were able to get some time on the water. Tomorrow I plan on a curbside booze pickup; no human contact.

Rick- Nice prune job.

Drew- Thanks for sharing your Springtime flowers.

RonJH- I do not know why, but I rarely see starlings around here.

For years we had a productive asparagus bed. I believe my plants/crowns got some kind of virus. Now it’s just a weed bed and on my short list of garden projects.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Thursday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Good morning 48 going to 52 and drizzling today. Looks like wind is coming our way later.
Was able to backfill all the holes I made stumpin the other day. But really muddy, so I went out with hand tools.
Had to make a store run,not too bad with taped lines/masks etc.
Roads empty, RB20200408_173048.jpgbut the rain did make us a nice rainbow.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, going for a high of only 64 today, cloudy. Maybe a sprinkle but doubtful. Tomorrow supposed to be sunny, but strong winds return for the weekend! Then, (say it is not true), a chance of snow on Monday! REALLY? !!:mur::hissyfit:

Got the hole dug out for the pond, easy work for the BH. Started marking out spots for trees / shrubs, then changed them, then changed them again. today will probably involve setting the pond in place and getting the grade set around it. Might get to some rock work, but not likely.

Need to make a grocery run first, get diesel for the tractor, and stop for some flat 2 inch block for around the perimeter of the pond. I thought about using bagged concrete, but I had these bad visions of RNG just mixing and mixing and mixing some more....:shovel::no: I will do the lazy way out!

I hope everyone / family continues to get better.

Got to get started.... time is a wastin.... Have a great day!
