Good morning!!!!

Good morning! Yesterday's thunderstorms never developed and instead we had sunshine and a record 95˚F. It's 70˚F before sunrise heading to the mid 80's with the winds shifting from the North.
It's been 26 days since our neighborhood shut down all amenities and our April opening date has been extended to May 4th.

We can water and harvest in the garden but working the gardens is prohibited and only 10 people can be in the gardens at a time. My kale is finished as the summer bugs are having a feast with it but the potatoes are looking good, they are about a foot high. I picked a hand full of snow peas and made an sesame/soy sauce - they were really good.

Today I'll sharpen my cedarcide tools in prep for Friday's assault. I might have some before and after pics like Rick's.

All state and county and city parks have been closed for Easter weekend.

Huge jump in CV cases today after a 2 day decline. Might just mean more testing. County up to 200, 5500 for state.

Sister doing the same.

It痴 oSu day!

Edit: my sister is out of ICU into regular room. Sounds like progress.

That's the website model I referenced earlier this morning that showed the Virginia peak changing by a whole month in its update yesterday. It also reduced our projected deaths by half. It now projects USA deaths at 60,415, down from the 100,000 to 240,000 I had heard in the last revision. Still a big number, but it's nice to read good news of any kind right now.
Social distancing works for most things. Keeps colds down, lowers road rage, might even reduce population.

<snip>
For the short term, though, a lot of folks, especially older ones, will shelter in place as long as they can before venturing out to resupply. And when they go, they'll be buying more on each trip so that they can stay home longer. Bigger purchases spaced further apart would seem like they'd put more impulsive type demands on the supply system, leading to more spot, short term shortages, and a continued feeling of uneasiness about the reliability of the supply chain. That would further stimulate the prepper/hoarder impulse.<snip>
I would hope it would give people more time to plan purchases and make fewer impulse buys and "lower the curve" on their shopping and the supply system.
Hopefully EVERYONE will get in a "be prepared" mode for years.

57 and drizzle going to 76...we barely got any of this storm, Buppies.

Mostly, glad you got a chance to go fishing. I know some of our boat launches are closed. Over the last couple of weeks, Shenandoah National Park "shrunk" as it first closed all facilities, campgrounds, picnic areas, popular trails, then the whole northern and central sections, then finally yesterday the entire park. :(

We are still making do with the groceries we picked up last week. Running out of some fresh things, but not planning to go back for a while. Eating asparagus from the garden, and enjoying the Sweet Betsy. lilac and apple blooms...smells sweet wherever we walk right now.

Had to mow a section of yard again yesterday that always seems to grow the fastest.

68 degrees this morning, going for 92. Very light breeze right now, but forecast to pick up later. I'm hoping it'll dry the grass because I've got to mow the yard today. More rain forecast for this coming weekend.

good morning all. Warm out, low 80's today, but they said that for yesterday and it hit 92.
The storm that hit Buppies and Buckeye is headed my way in several hours.
Going to do a little foodshopping shortly and will be home before the rains come.
Then temps drop a lot, only 60 for a high tomorrow.

Spring flowers putting on a show. The large tree with all the white flowers is very fragrant and four big trees in back yard
make the whole area smell nice. I keep forgetting the real name for this tree/giant bush but the locals call them redtips.
Beautiful tree, leaves turn from green to red to green and white flowers are very pretty. Almost smells like a lilac, and probably makes me sneeze.

I am up late this fine snowy morning. Temp is 31°F and going to a high of 37. Wind SW 8 mph. 40% chance of flurries. About an inch of snow fell overnight. It wont stay, the ground is not frozen.

Dump run and hardware store today. Lets see if they get "Plastic wood" wrong. The big can is $15.79 + tax and that is the can I want. All 473 ml of it. WTH is 473 ml? About 1/2 a quart.

That'll be my day shot.

Good news re your sis BEF.

Stay safe and healthy all

Good Morning. It's 72° and humid this morning. They're forecasting 88° this afternoon with high probability of strong thunderstorms late afternoon with high winds. Looks like Don and Kyle will get a taste of storms too.

With the storms coming I'll have to take a chance on getting all my limbs, from tree trimming, picked up .. ruts or no ruts.

I'd forgotten just how heavy our ECHO gas pole saw is compared to the HF Lynxx 40 volt. My shoulders are "reminding" me this morning. The parts, for the Lynxx, should be in our mail box by 2 p.m.

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

Prayers to all.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 34ー Heading to 46ー with rain and brisk winds. Got some more of pond cleaned yesterday. Starting to look good. Need to use power washer in some areas. May have to wait for a few day to get at that. No plans for today. Other than wait for Kroger delivery around noon.
BIL is getting better every day. Still on oxygen.
Son had to send one of his workers home for breaking company CV rules. He cannot return for 14 days.

Mostly not sure why photo does not work. Here it is again.

Rick, tree trimming looks good. How many more tree do you have to do?

RNG, great rainbow picture.

Wngsprd, shame that parks had to be closed. The parks around here are closing for Easter weekend. They have been packed on weekends lately. Some people are going to be climbing the walls.

LS, you will like having a garden pond. I enjoy mine. An aerator is your friend keeping pond healthy. Check out The Pond Guy for supplies and information. I buy a lot of supplies off Amazon and EBAY.

Drew, nice flower pictures.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.
