Is yeast sold out in your areas also?

I haven't been able to get flour or yeast in two weeks. It's a funny thing my wife hasn't thought about baking bread in years now she and apparently many others have fresh baked bread on their minds.
It seems to me that the supply chains are struggling to keep up. I saw something about grocery demand is up 73 percent. Does that make any sense to you?

Another section completed. Now on to the biggest area, where the pond is going. No real plan, will be thought out as we go. A couple of pics.

Before all this CoVid stuff started, I shopped for 1 week at a time, and only stocked up when things went on sale. I depended on stores having everything I needed, and that I could buy as much as I wanted.

That has all changed now. Cleaning supplies, dry goods, and paper products are now in short supply, I think, because people got caught short and panicked, causing them to stock up with several months of supplies. That caused an avalanche effect on those that didn't panic, but faced running out of household essentials, so they panicked and are now trying to stock up to avoid getting caught short in the future. Until everyone's safety and hoarding urges are met, we'll continue with short supplies. But I don't believe that can last forever.

For the short term, though, a lot of folks, especially older ones, will shelter in place as long as they can before venturing out to resupply. And when they go, they'll be buying more on each trip so that they can stay home longer. Bigger purchases spaced further apart would seem like they'd put more impulsive type demands on the supply system, leading to more spot, short term shortages, and a continued feeling of uneasiness about the reliability of the supply chain. That would further stimulate the prepper/hoarder impulse.

Of course, this is just what's ricocheting around my twisted little mind; everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do.:confused2:

Once all this recedes .. the TP makers wont have any new business for 3 years as folks work thru their "inventory".

Walmart posted Saturday this afternoon and every slot was available, so we grabbed 9 am. It got to 77° today, breezy but nice, put the loader on and took down the tree I cut the other day, it was hung in others. Then skidded it into the woods. Dressed the driveway, took out a stump.
While R&R-ing the loader is a 5 minute job, I think I’m going to try just dropping off the quick attach bucket next time I mow. If it proves to be a problem, next time I’ll drop the loader.

BEF, great news!

Wngsprd, as you can see we got a slot. Still a lot of shortages in product though.

LS, landscaping is looking good.

Good night guys, stay safe, God bless.

Huge jump in CV cases today after a 2 day decline. Might just mean more testing. County up to 200, 5500 for state.

Sister doing the same.

It痴 oSu day!

Edit: my sister is out of ICU into regular room. Sounds like progress.

Good news. Do you know if she took the hydroxychloroquine and zinc?
