Yep, I have a many Channellock pliers, mainly because they are made in the USA and decent quality. But the new tools from CL are not as nice as their older tools. They are bulky and clunkier, but maybe that's what consumers want so they feel like they won't break. What's attracted me to Knipex is how sleek and slim many of their pliers are, much like the old tools from my dad and grandpa. Here's a good example... look at the Channellock needle nose pliers compared to the Knipex needle nose pliers. The Channellocks are fat and difficult to use in tight areas, and heavy enough to use as a hammer. The Knipex are like a surgical instrument making them ideal to reach into a tiny are and grab a fine wire. Different tools for different needs I guess.
