Remember the knitted toilet paper jackets? I guess the dog only needed so many coats.

I remember at some time missing the colored paper. White seemed very plain and uninteresting by comparison.

I for one find truth and knowledge always valuable. It does make me question why young women have largely opted to take on the appearance of juveniles though.

Mankind is blueprinted genetically to be attracted to, and protective of juveniles, and the juvenile features. Note that both male and female have the juvenile features, and that the females retain these into puberty and beyond, which the male does not. It is nature's way of programming adult's protection of the juveniles, and nature's way of programming the male's protective instinct for young females. How this factors in to the females' tendency to want to remain a juvenile in appearance is any body's guess, but I suspect it triggers the male protective instinct.

Yep. the same lady with the matching TP also knitted or crochet spare poodle toilet paper roll covets

Can't give anecdotal from the 1950's but it was maybe 1969.

I was thinking back as a kid visiting one of the neighbors...

She had blue toilet paper in the "Blue" bathroom and yellow in the "Yellow" bathroom and pink in the "pink" powder room... of course with matching towels and soap.

Guess it was a thing once upon a time?

Pastel toilet paper WAS a thing some time ago. Not so much now. I am wondering if the dyes irritated some folks....I sure do remember them though.

Our grand daughter that lives with us loves anything purple. Around Christmas as I was looking for gag gifts, I found purple toilet paper on Amazon, so I ordered 4 rolls for her.

She hasn't used it yet, so I don't know whether she likes it too much to use it or if she's afraid to use it.

Research revealed that the colored TP did not break down as well as the all white, something to do with inks blocking bacterial action.

Lots of myths on septics like all sorts of solutions to improve bacterial action etc.
The fact is the bacteria will self generate so nothing need be added.

Back then we were fortunate that out Gov't did lecture tours for cottage owning groups that covered all sorts of ecological issues and how to deal with them.

I ordered 30 rolls from Amazon last week and it came in on Saturday.

I went to Walmart when the doors opened and was allowed to buy one package of 12 rolls.

I just ordered another 60 rolls at Amazon for my family members who need it in another state.
