Same thing happened to us. The TSC store had to move but the good news is they are now 10 miles away instead of 18. So we shop at TSC all the time. We joined their Neighbor's Club but only filled our their poll once. Didn't win anything.

Just a way for them to get cheap feedback without having to hire a company to come in and tell you what you are doing wrong. I have fun with them if I ever fill them out. One I did at a grocery store was something like She scanned those groceries like a Vegas blackjack dealer. If I had a competing store I would steal her from you. Just have fun with it. Maybe at the end of the day that employee gets thanked for a job well done.

They are only interested in harvesting your personal info, like name, address, and email address. They could really care less what you "think". They want the info. Most also sell it to "marketing" companies, which pay a few pennies per each, and then you get bombarded with junk mail, both in your mail box, and in your email inbox.

I had a terrible problem with an online order (store pickup) from them. All in all, it took 6 weeks to get everything settled out. They claimed I had picked the items up, I asked for their proof, they kept stonewalling. I finally had to get the credit card company involved, then I got my order, shipped straight to the house.
A few days later I got an email asking for my opinion on the items, so while I ripped the company in the poll, but I did say the items met my expectations. I didn't win anything and I've never seen my opinion posted.

I'm in there at least once a month for feed and a straw bale, more often than not take the online survey just in case I get lucky. But naw I never won anything. Great store though, I found lots of useful stuff there and the prices are good.

The only thing that I go in there for is dog food, everything else I can get for less money elsewhere. They always used to try to get me to sign up for their "rewards"... one time the clerk asked "Are you saying that you don't like saving money?" Wrong question as I tend to say what I think, before I think about what I'm saying. I replied "Yes, that's why I usually do my shopping someplace else."
That was the last time I was asked to sign up for their rewards.

What items are you shopping for that's cheaper elsewhere? Just curious. Their rewards program is free and gets you a 10% coupon at end of every season...good time to stock up on feed, fencing, etc.

We spend about 4k a year at tsc ,My wife knows more about stuff in the store then the workers...

Mine might as well and she has never set foot in the place. Last time I was I left a $16 OEM oil filter for a Briggs Vanguard engine sitting on the checkout counter. $11 is a lot for that filter.

Seen that more than once at TSC where customer lot more helpful than the staff,but in fairness to good staff not so good staff just wants paycheck that's all.

I almost never waste my time filling out these time consuming surveys unless I get something free right away, like a free hamburger or soft drink etc Never to go into a drawing of some sort.

I will at times fill out my name and address to go into drawing. Won a couple trinkets and things that way.

Mostly animal feed. The local general store has the best prices, is more convenient and the owner is a good guy. There's also a hardware store where it's 10% cheaper than TSC.
The last time I bought feed at TSC I was hurrying out of the store with 100 lbs of feed on my shoulder. Automatic doors have always been a bane, as they are too slow. I walked right into the stupid thing... then stood there feeling ignorant as I looked around to see if anybody had noticed.

About the only things I get routinely at TSC are bulk nuts / bolts and tractor pins. The occasional close out or discount deal bin always has something that I did not know I needed! Otherwise, the local hardware store has better prices.

Not TSC but once had dinner and filled in a coupon for a draw for trip for 2 to Jamaica.
10 names were drawn for a last man standing.
I was the last man!

Another time returning from a family (4) vacation in Florida the captain called for 10 volunteers to give up their seats as they were overbooked.
We all stood up and the next year family vacationed in the Virgin Islands.
Oh, and that vacation was 2 weeks free on a 39 ft sloop. (just payed 4 food!)

At a convention I won a draw for 2 to France. (never used it)

American airlines, for my accumulated airmiles during 12 months rewarded me a return for 2 to Hawaii.
LOL, I had only made 2 flights during the year but with all bonuses and sign up I qualified.
We enjoyed 2 weeks in the Hawaiian sun and visited all the islands.

My first 'win' was a teacher that drew my name as the token student to be punished for a class prank.
(I had to write "I will not throw spitballs at the blackboard" ---500 times! ) And, no, I did not do it.

Last win is I'm 81 and still kicking and virus free (so far) but planning to hit 100.
Good chances as both parents came very close.

Just the odds and right time right place, I guess.

I always get cat litter there...a 40 lb bag of their house brand is less than a 15 lb bag anywhere else. When I bought my generator they had them for $100 less than a similar one elsewhere. As with any store, ya gotta shop around and know who has the best price on what. I can't think of any store that has the best prices on everything (and if there was, it would be so far away that the cost of gas would eat up any savings :confused3.

Dunno what options you have where you live, but for me there's lots of stuff they carry that no one else in the area has. Most of the Agways have closed, and those that remain seem to be more oriented toward pet supplies, dog toys, etc.

Oops! I've done the same thing a couple times when I thought a door was automatic but wasn't (or was broken). One time I walked into a totally clear glass door at a bank. Was walking at a good clip...was kind of dazed for a few seconds after that one. :ashamed:

Same thing by us, we're not real rural here, so near us, tractor supply is really the only game in town for feed and stuff like that...other than a couple ma & pa places mainly catering to rich horse farms around here, with rich horse-farmer prices to match. But, I pay something like $13 for a 50 lbs bags of layer feed, it seems pretty good to me. I used to buy feed for my pigs there for like 1/2 the price what it would cost me at one of them ma/pa places. I bought a chipper/shredder from there for $100 less than a comparable model at home depot. I bought a huge enclosure for ducks from their website at a good price...I couldn't even find anything that size anywhere else but TSC. I'm a fairly savvy shopper, I do compare prices online (makes it easy to shop smart), I personally found TSC to be pretty good in pricing.

I'm trying to find a place to sell it in bulk this summer. If I can pull my pickup in and have a ton of feed loaded I could be a lot better off.
Supposed to be a place downstate that will sell it in 1000 lb lots if I buy a tote... I have enough bags to then transfer it to 50 lb packages.
