And Now, Back to COVID19 ....
In the spirit of posting some good news ........
At work the CEO sends out a weekly email and the following was included this week.
When I went to Aldi for cat food, tooth paste and bread at lunch time (and amazingly I bought nothing from the middle aisle), I looked at the down trodden cashier. The young bloke was on auto pilot, over it, customer focus or even a smile had been beaten out of him by rude customers for who knows how long. So I also purchased a double snickers bar and as I grabbed my stuff he was pushing the chocolate bar towards me and I said Nah mate I bought that for you. To which he gave me a What? And I responded Yes I bought it for you to say thanks and make up for all the a-holes you have had to put up with. He had a smile and a chuckle that money couldn't buy. And the rest of the line of customers caught the smile and the positive vibe as well.
So take the challenge. Friend, workmate, foe or even a complete stranger who can catch your smile today?

Aaron, if our person were still there maybe SHE would have been the one telling or not telling.
This is not about finding fault, just realizing how a staffing oops might have cost us a head start.
(I keep reading/watching articles/videos linked in this thread.)
The premise of your question seems to indicate either an unfamiliarity with the content of the article or a political agenda ... or possibly both.
In any event, the point you’re attempting to make may be largely irrelevant ... in that they could have made first hand observations of events on the ground that could have served to inform us better ... regardless of the official Chicom party line.
One disease expert told Reuters he was skeptical that the U.S. resident adviser would have been able to get earlier or better information to the Trump administration, given the Chinese government’s suppression of information.
“In the end, based on circumstances in China, it probably wouldn’t have made a big difference,” Scott McNabb, who was a CDC epidemiologist for 20 years and is now a research professor at Emory University. “The problem was how the Chinese handled it. What should have changed was the Chinese should have acknowledged it earlier and didn’t.”
Again, both of you assume that the Chinese would have allowed a American to learn that information and not kept it quiet like they did with anything else about it suppressing any information from leaving the country.

I admit I'm not up to speed on Senate rules - BUT
If they HAVE to be present to vote - What happens when the Republicans drop out due to self quarantine?
Three have so far.
