Good morning!!!!

I'd sure like to have a little of Bird's weather this morning. Cold here, 20 degrees, headed up to 54 in warming trend.
After lunch have five small fruit trees to plant, fill in the spots where previous ones hadn't made it. Pecans, figs, red delicious apple and a Methley plum. Didn't realize it would get so cold last night or I would have left them inside. Well, they are either hardened or frozen, time will tell.

Bright blue sky out, not a cloud to be seen.

Good morning! 14 now and clear.supposed to be a nice day, near 49 later and clear. Looks like March is coming in like a lamb around here.

I need to split some wood. The $100 HF trailer has been sitting covered all winter with a load of seasoned wood. Just needs split and stacked. Today may be the day. Got things ready to go for bike week yesterday. Leave Thursday afternoon.

Everyone have a safe and good day.

A better pic of yesterday’s roof

Nice job, and great view!

Storms coming Tuesday and Wednesday. We need rain. Daughter had to spot water the garden last evening. Going to 75F today.

My first day to teach Sunday School is today. Thankfully, my wife (my 51%) is going to be my sidekick.

Mostly, I sometimes marvel at your ability for keeping up with everybody... :)

I stopped at a place in Bryan and found a rack of "lightly freeze damaged" tomato plants for half price. I got 2 six packs for $2.50 These should get planted today, with the mild weather predicted for the first half of March.

Yesterday I needed to kill a few hours in Bastrop. I went to Lowe's and Home Depot looking for some blueberry shrubs. I saw some Charlie Brown Christmas tree versions. Also saw some nice avocado 4' tall trees, Cherry, peach, and pecan. The pecan was about $60. I was in my car so I went home empty handed.

Prayers for all in need.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 7:15AM. Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. High 64F. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph.
Not sure if that's a lion or lamb forecast. It's not at all wet, but a 20 MPH wind is nothing to sneeze at. Well maybe it is; I'm allergic to dust!

Kyle, I hope you and Drew have good luck with your frosty young plants. Time will tell...

I wonder how they will test those BioMasks, Don. Don't think I'd like to be in the test group. And there's still the problem of the virus entering through the eyes. I wonder if Amazon sells those bio suits like the doctors are using in the virus labs? Imagine the attention you'd get at the grocery store wearing one of those outfits!

David, I marvel at your ability to visualize the improvements you're making, then bring them to life. And now you have me wondering how all the digging and erecting going on here will look from a drone's eye view, or even space. And speaking of drones, how do you keep them from flying away on their own? From the reviews on Amazon, that seems to be a fairly common occurrence. A neighbor just posted a week or two ago that he'd found a drone on his property, and was looking for the owner.

But when it comes to miracles, Randy's taking the cake. I hope your health, and that of all the sickies out there, continues to improve!!!

I think round 1 of the electrical conduit is complete, for now at least. I hope it's good enough for the inspector, and that they can get out here early in the week. I'm more worried that the solar contractor won't be able to figure out how to get all those wires through the wall of the garage, but we'll just have to cross that bridge on Wednesday when he drops the solar panels off.

Well, the rebar and ratchet strap plan for holding the solar rack posts in place only sorta panned out. I was able to get two of three posts to cooperate, but it was a fragile arrangement at best. Plan B, using 5' lengths of 2x4 held to the post with a ratchet strap, with the other end screwed to a wooden stake, worked very well, though. Sorta got that idea from Ted's concrete forms, so thanks for that, Buddy! I even got a level line marked on all six posts last night, but it took working 'till 7PM and a headlamp to do it. By then the clouds had come in and there wasn't much if any sunset to enjoy, anyway.

That's OK, night before last's sunset was a doozy!

Even though the posts are up and plumb, they're probably not aligned properly, and I'm sure they're not at the correct height. I hope I can use some string and a tape measure to figure out what needs to be moved where today, and have a try or two with a saw or zip disc to figure out the best way of trimming them to length. Should be an interesting day...

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

A mostly cloudy and breezy 12ºF for today’s low temp with windchills in the single digits. Increasing sunshine all morning, presently 21ºF, and still breezy; wind ~14mph with gusts to ~20mph. I anticipate a breezy and sunny afternoon with high temperature in the upper 20ºF’s. It looks like a decent day for some grill action on the deck to use the pork that I did not use making my Hot&Sour Soup last night which came out great.

Don- Thanks for the link….. just in case.

Bruce- Camembert is similar to brie as to taste and texture, but has a lower fat content which helps in baking/air frying. Brie would melt all over the place. Brie would need to be wrapped in some pastry dough for containment.

David- Thanks for the new perspective of your carport project.

“…. Sometimes the best suet is on bottom.”- RonJH Thanks for sharing another nature picture.

RNG- I really like your sunset picture. Thanks for sharing. Most fly-a-way drones are more due to owner/operator inexperience, an over-estimation of their own ability to actually pilot/fly their drone manually, and an over-dependency on a really fancy flight controller that does the real flying and can be prone to poor programming input as to flight parameters, computer glitches, signal loss and interference.

I hope that everyone is having a decent weekend.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

21 early, 41 now and 46 later they say. 60s headed our way starting tomorrow.
Just got home from church, head cold better but still groggy, this is day 8.

Need to visit mom but I’m not sure if I should before I’m completely over this junk.

Drew, I think your trees will survive the few hours of deep cold.

Hope all are well. Prayers.

62°F and 1.22 inches rain. Looks to be another repeat wx day.

I did manage to mount the solar motion light in the carport and it’s solar panel outside at the peak.

Also preliminary measurements enough for initial drawing of last roof section.

Hand and Foot this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
