kubota or mahindra

Trying to decide on new tractor got it down to two I think kubota grand 3560 or mahindra 1635hst no cabs/with a loader only on either tractor,,always had kubotas but I am not sure on the DPF on the kubotas anyone with pros and cons of each thanks

As other have mentioned, these two are totally different machines, that could overlap in terms of functionality.
The Kubota is a Grand L with more features and creature comfort.
The Mahindra is a Mitsubishi made that offers a decent package, but will never be at the same level as the 3560.

If you are willing to pay more for better features and release value, then go with the Kubota.
Also parts availability will be better with Kubota.
Is that not you can't get parts with Mahindra but the reality is that if you need anything beyond regular maintenance items then you will have to "wait" and "wait" then wait some more.

Take your time, try both tractors and make sure you make an informed decision.

Mahindra was on my list the last time I shopped. I was looking for a cabbed tractor and didn't fit into theirs. The salesman wanted to have their shop modify the seat but I declined.

The one option on the Grand L60 series that I didn't realizew I would use the most is the HST+ transmission. The cruise control is nice, the swivel seat, and such are all nice, but the HST+ transmission is what makes a difference for me. I'm able to accomplish most of my task in Medium gear using the high/low setting of the HST+ transmission.

I shopped both this spring. Mahindra was a good machine. But depending on models you my as well buy a TYM and save the money as TYM makes some of their machines. What I found was this, once everything was put on the invoice between the two, the price point was about the same. Kubota was a tad more but came with more. But I also factored finding parts, reputation, build quality etc, and this is not to say I wouldnt buy a mahindra I would, but to say a Mahindra is as good or better than a bota just isnt true. Dont fall into mahindra doesnt have a a DPF gimick.

As I stated before I have always had kubotas my first was a 1977 l210.. my biggest concern with the 3560 ( beside the regen) would be all the electronics such as throttle advance hst response mode etc. but I guess a guy gets spoiled with creature comforts

I believe that has to do with the total units sold and emissions credits. Kioti went down the same road but has used them up so now Kioti has the be in compliance. least I think that is how it plays.

Gold standard is Kubota they are the Toyota of tractors

They sure are. They are the light weights, just like a toyota

I own two Kubotas. One new that the engine went south with about 2 hrs on the meter
The other Kubota, bought used mx 5100 no emissions, and no issues, but it is a light weight..
The Kubota being a light weight is the reason for buying the McCormick CX 105

As far as toyota.. My toyota uses a qt of oil every 2500 miles. Toyota says that's normal ! LOL

Having owned two Kubotas last one for 20 yrs and have a Mahindra 2550 PST Cab now which I regret buying. Have had a few problems with it that should not of got out of the factory and really looking it over close and seeing how they route lines wires I just shake me head.Have had three hydraulic leaks so far. I will take a little lost but I am getting rid or it. It is your choice but look them over real close and drive them. Look up Mahrinda Owners and Mahrinda Owner problems on face book for some info. I done with Mahindra.

The Kubota engines are so junk they dominate the small diesel industry. The vast majority of diesels in equipment not built by the manufacturer are Kubotas. 2k hours is a fluke not the norm. BTW Kubota is quickly gaining market share with light construction equipment and small to medium farm tractors in the United States. They’ve had the compact tractor market for a long time.

you got any stats that kubota dominates the small diesel diesel industry ? .
Guess that's the reason JD uses so many of them LOL Naw, they use a better diesel.. Yanmar

failure within 2 hrs a fluke ? LOL I knew there would be someone with a good excuse out there

Yanmar and Kubota are both Japanese built. Regardless of quality ( it’s about equal) how would it look for Deere to use its biggest competitors engine in their equipment? And 2k is 2,000 not 2.

No facts to your claim ? Just your opinion.
Yanmar is a competitor of both kubota and deere. Yet deere uses yanmar engines, not Kubota
Last I checked. Yanmar sells tractors here in the US as well.

You should re read my post. I never said my engine failed at 2k hours. I said two hours. Fluke, or sorry workmanship ?
Naw, can't be sorry workmanship.. Kubotas are bullet proof ! LMBO !

I own two kubotas, but I don't drink the kubota Kool-Aid

IM not really into my engine is better than yours. But doesnt Kubota own like 75% of the tractor market. Typically when a company owns a dominating percentage of the market, they usually do so because of two reasons, either are superior, or are the most effective or both.

But i would suggest bota owns the market based off multiple factors not just their engine, although their engine probably is a big play.

Engines only mean little, case in point putting a cummins in Nissan.

Search on market share shows in (Wikipedia) that Mahindra is the largest selling tractor manufacturer by volume in the world.

I don't know about kubota owning 75% of the tractor market. But Mahindra is the top selling tractor in the world !

If Kubota sells a lot of tractors.... It's probably because of their financing program.
I'll give you zero % for 84 months if you buy my tractor. This marketing program makes it easy for anyone to buy their tractor.

Why Mahindra is the Top Selling Tractor in the World
A Hardworking Legacy. Originating from the largest tractor market in the world in India in the early 1960s thanks to a partnership with International Harvester, Mahindra today has become a favorite choice for farmers and property owners in every major country. ...
Commitment to Quality…and to People.

I would say Mahindra trumps Kubota in market share

This tractor is better, or that tractor is better,
This car manufacture is better or that one is better.
A debate that will endure until the end of time

Most of which is in India. The numbers from your country would be way more relevant. Who cares what the top numbers are anyway? A Kubota grand is one of the nicest compact tractors made. Mahindra doesn’t make anything that comes close.

Kubota vs Mahindra

Not hard these days to find who sells more tractors ! LOL
