TSC has a similar unit rated to 1000lbs. Material looks same size and thickness. Difference is welded vs bolted so I wonder if quality non-chinesium bolts would be enough

I bet if I put it together with grade 8 hardware and put an angle brace from the top to the end of the forks I'd get enough capacity for my 66 gallon water tank....
I bet without all that you can hold that tank.

Rear forks as the basis for carrying a watering or spray tank?

That AgriSupply rear forks unit is rated 500 lbs.

Here's one I welded up from scrap, a phone relay rack and bedframe angle. I later ground down some crude parts and painted it. Norm would be proud of me! :) If you have a welder it would be easy to fabricate something similar.

I've used this since 2007 without anything bending or breaking, often at 500 lb total weight of the forks, platform, and load, which is all the little YM186D can lift. When I used it on the YM240, three garbage cans 90% full of water was the limit of what that tractor could lift.

Rear attachments that I've built fit on the qhitch directly instead of having pins and clips. This forks assembly is light enough to pick up and carry around. The forks from Agrisupply look heavier and are likely stronger - but this capacity matches my actual use.

Testing it the day I built it, lifting the 450 lb box blade with all the weight halfway out toward the end of the forks.

Carrying water. Three 30 gallon cans. I filled a fourth can but couldn't lift it. That didn't hurt the forks.

Original platform for forks. Last week I used a larger version of this to carry ladders and bring in apples we picked in the orchard.

Forks are useful all the time. Portable mulch bin.
