Will he be leasing the land to another rancher to keep his AG exemption? Good time to sell before having to feed them all winter.

He has plenty of hay for them.

Not sure about ag rules in Ohio. Have to look at that again.

Nobody leases land here for farming. Nobody will even cut hay on shares.

Maybe he might just want to cut the heard to a very manageable number and hire help. I know in Texas the taxes can increase by 5X without the AG exemption, hope it is different in Ohio.

Bill- If I see any additional snow today it will be from the Great Lakes. 24?コF presently with increasing wind. Tonight I should see single digit low temps and sub0?コF windchill with similar morning low temps tomorrow.

RNG- Wifey and I made yogurt from dried milk as well. It was pretty decent for the $;). After +20 years of year-round use/abuse my BGE is starting to crack internally and externally. Thank you for the link. I like the new competitor's model, the Kamado Joe Classic III, but $1600 is a little steep and I probably get similar performance with some of the tricks that I've learned over time like adding a heat diffuser, water/steam bath, etc. That article praised the BGE's ability to effectively control stable heat. I know I can smoke at 180コF and get the temperature hot enough to warp a heavy duty aluminum dutch oven, warp stainless steel tong utensils, and make cast iron glow red hot. I cook our steaks ~ 700コF; they cook quickly;) We'll see if our current BGE makes it through the winter. ;)

I'm sure you know, but,if you bought your Egg from an "authorized dealer" all the ceramic parts are warranteed for life. I am on my second large and have a medium too. I didn't buy any from a dealer. When I began looking for one originally the factory web site said there was no dealer within 250 miles. Computer glitch but I bought my first large from an internet dealer who was not authorized and the medium from a guy who had won it as a door prize. He promised to mail me the documents to register for warranty but didn't. I bought my second large from Sam's Club one year when they had 3 on special for 4th of July,I waited until the 5th and they had 1 left, it was marked down to $359 so I grabbed it because my 1st one had developed a crack like yours. A couple of years later I had become good friends with a young family who were Navy and really liked the Egged food but couldn't afford one. I saw a post on the original Green Egger's forum about an epoxy that would stand the heat so I cleaned my old one up real good and patched it with the epoxy and gave it to the young family. That was 4 years ago and they are still using it.

Any way if ,like me you don't have the warranty, the ceramic parts can be replaced or repaired for far less than a new unit. Best of luck either way, they are a great cooker and smoker.

Well, I finally bought a new tractor today, will be delivered on Friday morning. MF 1723, 23 h.p. diesel, 4x4, PS, tilt wheel, with loader, 60 belly mower, and box grader for my clam shell drive. R4 tires and a fabricated step to help me mount up. It’s a SCUT and the perfect size for around here. I’ll post pics once it’s here.

Good evening all. 22F for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Sky clouded some in afternoon, wind was moderate, and high temp was 41F. Started with the fireplace, worked on the ashes and still had lots of coals left over from yesterday. Was going to ride this afternoon but tree guy showed up to do stepdaughter tree. Got another load of dead oak, got it unloaded, and truck bed cleaned out.
Woodpile needs more help
Ron after trying to get her to go in deeper snow you're lucky she didn't head for closet :D
Eric that was quite the poem
PJ thanks for the guitar update , glad it turned out as planned.
Hawkeye, glad you got back under control.
Jay hope your BGE makes it. We don't BBQ mucj so wsa had to justify outlay for BGE. Spent 55 on new Weber kettle
Randy, that was quite the change in weather!!
Prayers for all.

BEF, think I’m getting better prices than Amazon
As for stacking, you can stack 10 Radians
I’ll be stacking the 4kw with the 8kw for 12kw capability.

When we lived in Atlanta, we were just down the street from the main BGE. Looked many times, but their love for even the used ones was greater than mine. Then just a few miles away we found Primo, made right there in Atlanta, not Mexico. Was able to get the XL oval model and table just in time for our move. Cracked the inner when I had it over 800°F one time. They replaced it, but I had to pay shipping. Cheating, by using the BBQ Guru, we often cook low and slow about 225°. Awesome brisket
