Works out to around a 33% discount of normal price for Prime. Not bad considering they don't have to offer anything.

Operating on the policy of buying only from those that have LESS money than you is likely to severely limit your purchase options.

I'll agree that it's not much of a deal. However! First, it doesn't do anything for me because all I get out of prime is a day or two sooner shipping and I have lots of time, I'm not in a position to utilize the other parts of prime. Second, and this is the big one, those of us that are Vietnam Vets see the difference in the public's attitude between now and then and I, for one, certainly appreciate the difference no matter the size of the effort. Even thou I won't be making use of the discount, I certainly hope others can benefit from it.
