All we have are straight sided. I can see where a bellied crock would be just that... a crock.

Good one! My batch #2 comes out tonight. 10Liter Harsch crock with cabbage and apple. Cannot wait.

The probiotics are sure doing my digestive system good now that I have some on hand. I do not cook any of mine, I may mix it with food or use it as a side dish or garnish, but never heat it.

Batch #2 the Harsch 10L crock plus a half gallon jar that I used a water lock gizmo on. This batch was red cabbage, some green cabbage and Gravenstein Apple. The dog ate a half pint or so.

Better leave the dog outside until the gas subsides.

I need to leave her inside so I can blame her to my wife for the gas I release.

I get way too much blowback if I go there.

Well, she has pretty much stolen my Thunder. I don't stand a chance anymore. Guess it could be because she is 10 years younger.

I got all the ingredients today for kimchi kraut. I will likely make it tomorrow night.

PER ~1-1/2 lb HEAD OF CABBAGE:
1-1/2 pounds cabbage, thinly sliced
6 ounces daikon, grated
2 ounces Jerusalem artichoke, grated
4 green onion diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh ginger
2-3 tablespoons gochugaru (use more or less based on how spicy)
1 tablespoon Himalayan pink salt salt

The blowback (out the back) is all mine. Had red kraut and Kielbasa for dinner last night. Had to vacate the bedroom early this am. Was bad in there but the wife slept through it. Wonder if I gassed her.....:D

I used to have a Terrier (since passsed) that was afraid of his farts. Funniest thing, he would be laying in his bed and fart, jump out of his bed like something bit him in the but. He then would curl around and smell his backside. I do not think he ever figured out that it was his own fart and he lived to 16 years.

Speaking of that, my big black dog just ran me put of the computer room. SBD.

That grin on his face depicts he is up to something. :D

Agreed. Bailey really dislikes the mail carrier or it could just be her mail car because of the strobe light on top. He even lets us know if he sees it go by on the highway, 150' away.
