Good morning. It's 68° this morning and we're getting some spotty showers. Our high is forecast to get to 75° this afternoon and rain is expected to pick up after sunrise.

I used the tractor, yesterday morning, to pack all the hog damage I ran the disc harrow on over Sunday. It's ready for some rain now to get grasses growing again.

Took the Kubota ZT out to one of the pastures to mow under the big oak trees but, I didn't finish due to darkness. Completion will depend on how much rain we get today.

Chocolate Brownies and HM Chicken Soup.

It's supposed to cool off here Thursday and Friday so ... some slow cooker chili, beef stew, or CN soup seems like a great idea.

The country ended our burn ban yesterday. I thought it was a bit premature but, evidently ... our County Judge got more rain at his house than we've had here??

RNG ... nice container!

Hope everyone has an excellent "Hump Day Eve".

Prayers to all.

NWS says it's currently 43 degrees going for a high of 46, with a 40% chance or rain increasing to 90% later today.

sounds a bit nippy there Bird. Got your winter coat out yet?

Poured second cup of coffee. 50° with cloudy skies and fog in low lands. Heading to 57° with PM rain. Contractor will do a little sanding this morning. Then pain the ceilings. This will be my first experience with one coat primer and paint. He does guarantee his work. My list today will be cleaning house when he is done.

David, I looked at your hoses with my iPad. Looked OK to me. This morning I opened picture with PC. You need to replace them. :D

Randy and Drew, you guys sure know how to keep me eating enough food.

RNG, are you planning a TBN get together to help fill the container. :D

CWB, congrats to your grandson.

PJ, have you started any new med's lately. Maybe a side effect of the med's.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 50 overcast wet.
FireWise clearing this morning.

RNG will your fire truck fit in the container?

Good morning to all! Low is a chilly 18 this morning, but going up to 58. It is supposed to get windy this afternoon as another cold front comes in. Low is forcasted to dip to 8-10 degrees tonight, high of only 35 tomorrow.

Drew, the brownies look delicious! I'm sure they will be appreciated.

RNG, nice container. I have contemplated getting two, keeping them separated, and building a roof over both. The sellers out here want a fortune for them, and that makes it cost prohibitive. That will be a lot of firewood!

It's a shame there is so much devastation from the Cali wildfires. The wind is supposed to gust up to 75 mph out there....not good at all!

David, glad your getting all that stuff fixed up slow but sure!

Rick, I'm surprised how much damage this hogs caused in a small amount of time! We don't have any feral hogs up here, thank goodness.

Today, more 'supervising' is in order, directing his construction of the concrete slab forms. I will get some seat time again! We went out yesteray, but it started snowing and got windy, so called it quits. So took the tractor to the garage, got the BH off, and box blade on. It's ready for today.

I forget who asked about the plumbing valve fix....I did get it fixed, new valve working fine! Just in time for the freezing temps!

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent!

41°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 47° today, and expecting some rain overnight tonight. Looks like we'll be getting our first freeze tomorrow or Thursday for sure. Snow in the forecast for Thursday.

That's a good-looking container, RNG. Hope it serves you well.

All the food looks tasty ... and yeah, feel free to email some to me.

Bummer about the hogs, Rick. Since I'm not getting much sleep, maybe I should bring my comfy camping chair and a rifle and ventilate some midnight bacon for you.

No meds here, Ron. I rarely even use aspirin. The only things I take regularly are a multi-vitamin and melatonin.

We used Behr's primer and paint combo when we painted the whole interior of the house a couple years ago. It looked great ... after the second coat.

Had a snow storm for 20 minutes yesterday afternoon, made the ground white, some of it is still here this morning.

Met with both managers yesterday, likely be reporting to one of them soon. Manager for my current role is just being promoted to manager (she has been on the bigger team, but this is her first management position). Manager for new role has been a manager about 14 months, he performed the role I'm looking at for 10 years before becoming manager. I can do either job, and there is a 3rd job I might look at that is outside the management chain I am in now...

Went to bed last night around 6:30pm, slept through the night except for bathroom trips. Miserable head cold for sure. I stayed home from concert (Big Daddy Weave) and wife took one of her friends. I had been looking forward to that concert for months..

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

An overcast, drizzly 46ºF for today’s low temperature; the drizzle continues and it is 48ºF presently, and I anticipate a drizzly afternoon high ~50ºF. A good day for a nap to help offset the sleep that I did not get last night due to coughing and neuropathy BS; I ended up in my easy chair girdled with pillows so my coughing would not cause any more broken ribs nor strained/ripped ribcage ligaments. My O2 stats look decent for having “the cough.” I picked up a tick during the morning perimeter walk which does not help the neuropathy. I see my neurologist tomorrow morning; maybe I’ll pay a visit to the urgent care center again if the cough continues. I roasted/smoked a turkey breast last night which came out really decently. My +20 year old Big Green Egg which has been cracked in the inner shell has now developed an extensive hairline crack in the outer shell. I do not think it will survive this Winter.
:( BGE’s are pretty expensive. :(

Drew- Your brownies look like good eats.

Randy- Your chicken noodle soup looks medicinal in quality  I think that a few of us should be eating medicinal quality chicken soup like yours.

RNG- Nice container. I am glad the delivery went so smoothly.

BEF and RonJH- Thanks for sharing your beautiful weather pictures.

Claye- Congratulations to your grandson.

David- Nice hose rebuild and you could use the old connector fittings:cool:

Rick- Those hogs are pooping 4WD tilling machines. Nice job on the grounds repair.

Ted- Have a good day “supervising” and I hope you get some quality seat time.

Hawkeye- I am happy to read about your + position options within your company. I hope you shake your crud quickly.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day and those in need for brownies and/or chicken soup get what they need.

My + thoughts and prayers.

Hawkeye, feel better. You always wonder "who gave this to me"...
Jay, you feel better too, breathe easier.

off to mow leaves. Just changed oil on mower, need to remember to check it before I start it up.
It's so clean it's hard to tell the line on dipstick, sometimes I revert to blue towels which I learned here and do a
full roll of the dipstick. And then there's my Audi which doesn't have a dipstick at all.
actually JD being diesel should have some color to it, I did run it for several minutes to check on the oil filter.
Fresh oil and new air filter, full tank of diesel with cetane additive and lube, should be at the top of our form...

Bought four more bags of fire ant killer at Lowes this morning and some more yellow mums, these for out at end of lane. Won't put the really nice large ones out there, just an invitation to steal them. Just have to remember to water them next week.
