I didn't get the oil changed yesterday, so I will have to do it today. It needs doing BEFORE the snow flies.

My sister sent me a picture of she and her SIL grinning over a shiny new 7500 Champion generator they got yesterday at a big box store.
Talk about waiting too long...I sent her out for a Honda inverter gen, all she could find, apparently all they had...was this unit just off a shipping crate.
She will do fine with it until she gets a whole house gen in .

putting those brownies on a plate this morning and taking them down to food pantry for distribution day, for the workers, not the clients. Also picking up ten pounds of carrots on the way, they don't get enough carrots donated apparently so it's always a good choice. Plus carrots are relatively inexpensive per pound.

61 degrees going up to mid 70's in clouds today. I'm probably going to mow leaves today.

Looks like there are plenty of squirrels left in the woods after the hawk and bobcat had their meals. Had a couple visit while I was in a tree yesterday. Also, a sharp-shinned hawk landed in a tree next to me.

BEF, hadn't realised your fence was made of pressure treated timber. In this country that style is often made with sweet chestnut which has very little sapwood and is good for 30+ years, although there will always be the odd piece that rots well before that time. It looks a lot of work to repeat every 10 years, or maybe that's just the view of this tired old guy who now only wants fence posts that will outlast me

CWB, you look to have one very happy grandson. Is the younger one asking when it will be his turn ?
