.... I would expect a strobe or I've even seen stop/turn light bar assemblies on large rear overhangs.
Is that a strobe beacon laying on the back seat? I wonder if it was on the back.

The driver leaned down to get something and was below the logs when he hit the truck.

And one heck of a light surviving being shoved through a car! I figured it was already in the truck based on the fact it looked to be intact.I was wondering what that was. Yes it is a battery powered strobe.
Looks like he needed just a bit more height. Where there's a will there's a way!
Probably from a flareside truck. It is a cap off a narrower truck bed. 2x is set innside of the truck's wbed rails. Jon

I'm not sure what all of the steel U shaped brackets are for, but I guess as long as he's not rear ended they may not become projectiles...View attachment 626607View attachment 626608View attachment 626609View attachment 626610
Looks almost like it's setup with a flip down ramps to act like a dovetail and drive something longer than the bed into the bed of the truck. It's a railroader. The top of the blue bars have STOP signs for an engineer. I imagine these are track lock-out signs and the large steel items are derailleurs in case of a workzone incursion
