The termite man showed up right on time this morning, even called to let me know he was on his way. Been a while since I've seen a drill that big, and it zipped right through the 4-5" of concrete, less than an hour to drill all those holes. He's injecting them now...

TGIF gang!:drink:
Left hand side of picture looks like a walking foot sewing machine I had at one time.

Oh man, I wish it was a walking foot. It's an old Consew I picked up years ago to sew canvas and heavy nylon, but it works great on upholstery. Now if I could just figure out how to make it go straight...:confused3:

Ron, that’s not encouraging. Any hints to pass on?

PJ guitar looking nice.

I bought a drill almost that big to put ten 3” holes thru my foundation wall for my geothermal pipes.

Drew, nice gourds. My wife buys them for fall decorations.

I can hear toppop singing The Beach Boys at the cruise.

Well, got the GDO wiring installed, safety beam and button. Only ladder work left is final adjustments. Havent done door bracing yet.
Getting down and up from floor to install safety beam is harder than climbing the ladder. That is still tough for me to do.

This work did wear me out.

The bush cutting was a diversion for the worried.

Checking In:

An overcast 47ºF for today’s low; increasing cloudiness and 57ºF presently which is probably today’s high temp. Sometimes one does not see the available “gifts” that are in plain sight: Today I discovered a smokehouse/butchery 8.5 miles away that I’ve been driving by for years. I am now $130 dollars poorer, but have many, many meal plans now in the works. And all because I wanted some smoked meat product to put in my planned (Costa Rican) version of black bean soup. Most of the stuff purchased will be used in dried bean and pasta dishes which becomes our food staple during this time of year. I sprung Brogen from the gulag. He was very interested in the smells up front.

Billy- I am sorry to read about Coco and her new found skunk friend. I hope they not develop their relationship to become BFF’s. After a couple of days I really do not mind the skunk smell.

Rick- Thanks for your project pictures.

Paul- Thanks for sharing you guitar rebuild project. Another example of the amazing skills exhibited on GM.

“… the worst part of a trip like that is the return to reality on the food intake”- Bruce I was really surprised that I did not gain any weight (?????). We did walk around a lot, but not that much. The worst part for me is switching from really fresh seafood to frozen.

Eric- Good luck on your new project.

RonJH- We have a similar skunk wash recipe. I’d probably need a gallon of the mixture to treat Mr. Brogen if a skunking ever ocurred.

Drew- The wind was mostly from astern so there really was not that much rocking and rolling. There were a couple of times the wind shifted aft quarter and there was some limited rolling. I probably would not have enjoyed the return trip. It appeared that the ferry services’ switched ports in relation to the prevailing winds, but I am not certain. We were lucky to have left when we did.

I can relate to all those so sleep challenged. Last night I actually got some decent, restful sleep. Maybe it was the Thursday night football game. I got through the first quarter and it was lights out.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Friday.

My + thoughts and prayers.

Don't they use Hydrogen Peroxide to bleach hair?

Hope Coco looks good as a blond!

These products are gentler and less toxic than chorine bleach, making them safe for most fabrics and dyes. Hydrogen peroxide will whiten and brighten clothes, disinfect laundry, and remove stains. Pour it directly on stains such as blood. Add 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide to whites in the washing machine to brighten them.

If you could hear me singing you would cover your ears!

I’ve got a walking foot Juki and Pfaff that I kept from my business, they both have issues going straight as well. Mom tells me it’s operator error, but I’m pretty sure it’s the machine.
