Morning, it's nice and cool here this morning 24°. We had some good rain over the weekend but no snow yet. Looks like it going to stay in the high 50's and low 60's for the rest of the week.

Still working on things around here. A friend is coming back out for hunt next month. I need to get ready for that.

I'm trying keep up with what's going on with everyone.

Sometimes there is a confidentiality clause in a pipeline agreement.

A pipeline has power granted by the state to take the land with reasonable compensation. Eminent Domain.

This disposal well does not have Eminent Domain, the property owner voluntarily agrees to the lease or it will not happen. In this case the property owner did agree. The drilling company is requesting a permit for 20,000 to 30,000 barrels A DAY to inject the oil, gas and saltwater waste into the ground about 200' from my mom's property. Unverified rumors say the property owner usually gets 5 cents a barrel. The disposal well site does not have any size requirements, so a piece of land just big enough for the rig is all that is needed.

The disposal wells I know of take a fair amount of space, like a typical drilling pad. A disposal well is the last thing I’d want. Fortunately dads land is not in a good accessible spot for one, as his lease allowed one.

Dad signed a very bad oil lease years ago that allows pretty much anything. He was in the hospital recovering from a bad infection when he signed it, unknown to us kids. This was before we knew about the deep stuff they are now drilling. Now he has a lawsuit to get try to void the lease. They drilled a shallow well that only produced a tiny bit the first 3 yrs of a 10 yr lease. Company claims its held by production. That guy then sold the deep rights to a big name oil company. After the lease expiration date another company acquired the deep rights and drilled a deep well under him, without a valid lease in our opinion and lawsuit.

I could be an oil gas lawyer with all the documents and court cases I’ve read.
Dad screwed up by signing a shut-in check from them a couple yrs ago. We all told him not to deposit it, but he’s from a generation where you sign a check when it comes. At his age he gets confused by everything going on, but he doesn’t think so.

Right now going thru mediation with all parties involved. We would easily win in court, if not for that check. I still think we would have a good shot in court.

Just got division orders for the deep well, and they are wrong even neglecting the no valid lease.

We had a previous lawsuit regarding moms estate and royalty rights with my great grandparents farm.

So I know a little bit about what you are going thru.

Don, must be one of them only in TX things. I would hope that would not happen here in Michigan. But we do have communities that have garbage dumps almost in middle of town.

Disposal wells are the worst part of the oil industry. They force the brine back into the ground, sometimes causing mini earthquakes.

I miss having the temp displayed at the top of my phone, like on my Android.

75 out overcast.

Finding lots of frustrating things on the iPhone. Like no numbers on the main keyboard. No commas. Have to switch to number page to get them and a simple comma or period. I tend to skip using comma now it’s a big PITA. And I can’t lock caps lock. Android has numbers above QWERTY line. This have room, got a huge blank space under the keyboard. Very inefficiencent layout. And lack of symbols. After Android this thing is aweful. And forget about trying to put the courser in the middle of a word to edit it can’t do it. So I will have lots of misspelled words I can’t edit.

Then there’s pictures. Last night tried to download pics to my laptop. Discovered some Archane stupid naming convention. Why the h$$&&&&@@ can’t I name my pics yyyymmddhhmmss like every other camera I’ve owned? Well Android was ddmmyyhhmmss but close enough. At least they had pics in order. Pictures aren’t even in order. The 1600+ pics that transferred from my Android are now dated the same created date. New pictures downloaded intertwined in the old pics. It’s one big cluster f.

Have I ranted enough. No wonder I never liked apple products. 3 days and I’m ready to throw this one against a wall.

I wait forgot about stupid Live Photo’s. WTH. Like I want my photo to be a 2 sec mov file instead of a jpg. Who the heck thought this is a good thing? So I just found out you can disable it but why would you have the default mode for a picture be a short movie. Apple developers must be on crack.

Not to mention the Android TBN app is far superior to the apple app.

Now am I done ranting?

Probably not. Had to turn off iCloud. To save space on your phone they keep a low resolution photo on your phone and store the high resolution in their cloud and charge you for the space.

Need to go do something productive instead of being on the phone.

Love the battery life. Guess their thought is if you make the phone frustrating enough you will keep it off extending battery life. Sorry no comma too frustrating to use them.

Your rant had me chuckling. I'm sure there are workarounds...I'm Apple naive too.

Don over a hundred years ago my grandfather put together a large property and over the years was divided or purchased by his children. Today what hasn't been sold off by relatives is now up for sale and it is next to my property. I do know to well the " neighbor inherited but doesn't live there" situation. Even relatives can be nasty when it comes to cash selling property.

Good Morning everyone!!!!!

A showery 54ºF for today's low temperature; 59ºF presently with rain showers pending; and hopefully a partly sunny low 70ºF's for today's high temperature. 95%O2/112BPM following the walk of the lower perimeter with Brogen;. 2 more days of tapering down the Prednisone and then hopefully I am through with the pneumonia BS and focus on getting healthier.

This weather is messing with my kayaking plans today. It may be a sign to lay low and rest.

Don- This fracking/waste water subsurface injection is scary stuff. It's a mixed blessing for the locals and their communities. My hometown Williamsport, PA has been going through this for years now; so far I do not know of any serious problems. PA has a very large and involved sporting/hunting political lobby. It seems that most the well heads are on prime farmland and/or are adjacent to some of the best fly/trout fishing waters in the state. If your Dad signed that agreement while temporarily "incapacitated" due to a disease driven delirium; there may be a decent chance of abrogating that lease agreement.

Life is way too short for this kind of nonsense. I really learn more on reception mode than transmit mode interacting respectfully with others of differing opinions. I'll add all things sexual to the list.
