Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Been working on some old Finish Mowers and I need several wheels. Looking at the 8" solid, 10" solid and 10" Pneumatic as opposed to the more pricey purpose-made ones by Carlisle and others brands. Thoughts?
Depends on how long you want them to last, if it's the wheels I'm thinking of they aren't very strong and will bend if you just a dip in a turn, or the "bearings" will go out pretty quick. The ones I tried on my leaf vac lasted about 3 loads and folded, the bearings were also very loose by that time.

Thanks Hunt.

It would be great if folks would post the HF link to whatever product they're asking about or reviewing.

Agreed, not that hard to do.
Agreed... but also not hard to go to the HF website and use the search engine. Works very well. And then there is the coupon site...

.

Ok, true.

But, if you're asking for other's advice on a particular HF product, you'll probably get more responses if you don't expect others to have to go figure out which particular product you're asking about.

That's .... just courtesy.

No argument here... links always appreciated. Some though aren't as technically gifted as others so we need to be tolerant. Same goes for posting pics. We all love to view pics! :drink:

Dragoneggs,
THANK YOU!
Among the coupons at your link I found some for various "free with any purchase" items like HF used to put in the flyers. JOY TO THE WORLD ! I've got blue flashlights coming out of my ears.

I've contemplated getting one of those. Thanks for the video, it helps to see how it works. Looks more like a hammer chisel effect that a normal nailgun.

Re: Palm nailers- I have one that I bought from Northern Tool years ago, and while I don't use it very often [largely because I forget I have it, or just don't think to grab it], it can be a lifesaver when I do use it- or maybe limb-saver because of Carpal Tunnel, rotator cuff issues and nerve injuries to my hammering hand.

Ha ha... Hey stuck, put that link on your phone and you are golden! Assuming of course your phone is 'smart'er than you.

StuckMotor- FYI, you can pull those up on your phone at [in my case- in the front of] the HF store, and then they can scan them right off of your phone- make sure that your screen brightness is turned up or they have trouble scanning them.

I usually get to the register with 4 or 5 screens/pages of 1 coupon each for them to scan.

I bought 1 of the shop lites afew months ago from HF..& hung it over my work bench...I absolutely love it..
I also purchased 10 5000L shop lites off the web to hang in the shop..
The 10 are on diff.a switch than the 1..
I find that if I'm just doing a quick in & out, I'll use the 1 instead of the 10..
The 10 has 2 strips of lites where the 1 has 1 strip & seems to put out way more lite..{brighter}

Dragoneggs,
Thanks again. If I ever get used to that smart phone my wife gave me, I'll probably switch to that method.

I never look at warranty info, I don't buy things I expect to fail.
I also HATE to take things back.

Aparently Harbor Freight expects theirs to fail sooner than Menards.

The ones I have in my shop. 2 years and no issues what so ever. I have one above a floor lathe that stays on all the time, 2 years continuous use and no fail.

These were around $15 regular price earlier this year. I bought some, loved how they worked, and bought some more months later. Both times they were in the $13 range after rebates. Last week I went to buy a few more and now they are $25 regular price. That's probably what the price should have been all along. The quality of these has been better than any 'shop' light I've purchased in the past 10 years. The pull-chain switch is very smooth, and robust if that makes sense. It reminds me of the old brass switches from the 50's or so. I did use some HF needle nosed pliers to adjust the hanging chains and to shorten the extremely long pull chains (keeping it relevant to this HF thread).
