No, No Joke! YOU had better adjust YOUR attitude to fit-in with the new way of thinking. These are the kind of garbage proposals that some politician are currently spewing!

What type of health problems, if you dont mind sharing. I am currently on disability..

I had heart surgery, bypass, and came out of it with what the medical guys call pump head, which is essentially oxygen deprivation.I was a heavy equip. operator and this effected my balance as well as periodic episodes where my brain just kind of blanked out for short periods. This made it pretty tough to cut curb grade where you have to interpret grade stakes and do quick math in your head.It also made it nearly impossible to finish slopes. I used to be a real avid reader but after the surgery could only read a paragraph or 2 then would get lost, kind of a short term memory thing.

I've read that this happened with about 30% of patients at that time but all but about 10% completely recover in a year or 2. I've gotten better but still a long way from pre surgery. The doctors that I've talked to about it just don't want to talk about it.

Best wishes for your recovery, Jim.

NO - IT, we DO NOT need to adjust our attitude. We just don't need to live in CA and be dupes to their politicians and liberal ideas.

My take on this entire thread comes down to this; do we need to start thinking for ourselves again, or depend more and more on "the government" to tell us everything which we need to do?

The problem is - people are being told - "don't worry, the gov will take care of this matter". In other words - quit thinking.

This is one of the reasons our founding fathers made this country a republic instead of a democracy.
Unfortunately many people dont know the difference.

It's really a question of how much do we want to penalize the people who don't need things so that those who do need them don't have to take personal responsibility. I wear chain saw chaps but a lot of people don't. Should we require all chainsaw owners to buy chaps? Now we require smoke detectors in most places but many of them have dead or missing batteries. should we send in a battery squad to make sure they are operable? Where does it stop?

I think the fire you are referring to was Peshtigo, in Wisconsin. That was when logging was big in the midwest. Now our population in the heavily wooded areas is so small the potential impact of forest fires is very limited, unlike California.

We are required to have smoke detectors that are hard wired and interconnected, power off they will still operate and in some States they are required to be checked every two years at your expense.

So ifn I go up to a 21 year old lady and ask her out Ill have grounds for age discrimination when she tells me no way in heck old man. 😇

Now you know discrimination only works one way which means she can sue you if you refuse her advances (we live in hope).

I heard about this, just changing the language to suit eht end just yesterday. Makes you glad you are as old as you are and will be dead soon. Hey, I probably lived in the best of times this society had to offer. No regrets except what we did to animals and the environment.

On a road trip yesterday and stopped for something to eat. Asked a few people what best route they might take to where I wanted to go. My god, the bandwidth of the average persons capacity to think seems to be shrinking.

Oh yes you do Mate... it's only a matter of time (and social adjustment).

San Francisco board rebrands '''convicted felon''' as '''justice-involved person,''' sanitizes other crime lingo | Fox News

San Francisco eliminates all criminals and addicts. Oh, there are still plenty around, you just can't call them that anymore.

Reminds me of when I lived in India. I was reading the newspaper one day and the headline announced that the government was claiming a massive decrease in the poverty rate, something to the tune of a 90 percent drop. Well, I read the article and the gov had simply changed their definition of poverty! Poverty was now defined as the amount of money required to purchase enough calories to not die. So pennies a day basically. No consideration for clothing, shelter, medical care, etc.

I can't help but feel just a little satisfaction at what has befallen San Francisco. City of that "brotherly" love. lol That's probably some kind of hate crime, right there! Hey, I call if LOVE DEFICIENT.

I spoke with parents who lived in SF but moved since they didn't want their kids seeing what is now in the open public.
America has really degraded in lots of ways.

By design! Not accident.

Well - I couldn't care less what goes on in CA or San Francisco. In my way of thinking - CA is a completely different world. And - NO - I WILL NOT be adjusting my attitude. Besides - it's rather fun when you can offend a few - now and then.

With this sheit spreading like a cancer, you had better care. If for no other reason, than the future of your children, who are being thouroughly educated in this "new" manner.
